2003 Nissan Frontier 4dr Crew Cab SC-V6 4WD LB (3.3L 6cyl S/C 4A)

Review

i am extremely disappointed on how thirsty this truck is. right now i average around 13.5mpg. i previously owned a V8 4wd tundra that had a better fuel mileage than this truck. on trips i would be averaging 15mpg and that is driving conservatively. i am surprised that a truck this small would eat more gas than a bigger v8 truck. (it took me 3 fillups to get back from san francisco to los angeles.) the rockford fosgate sound system is not impressive either. i ended up adding another amp, and replaced the weak subwoofer with better aftermarket items.

Best Features

the turning radius is small, means you can make u turns on small side streets with no problems.

Worst Features

better fuel mileage, and a redesigned instrument panel. sometimes its hard to see the instruments on a sunny day. move the defogger switch away from the airconditioning switches so you dont accidentally turn it on while adjusting temperature.

2003 Nissan Frontier 2dr King Cab XE Rwd SB (2.4L 4cyl 4A)

Review

Dumped all auto tranny fluid at 1507 miles due to wedge left in cooler line at factory. Nissan's response? Refill the tranny - you should have bought an extended warranty. Guess they don't know about service after the sale. I SHOULD'VE bought the Tacoma and you should too!

Best Features

Excellent gas mileage on back of the tow truck.

Worst Features

Extended range towing insurance, moped in back for reliable transportation.

Review

It is what is is ... a small truck, as opposed to full sized trucks. A great truck all around. Sound design and feel.

Best Features

The supercharged version is a must for anyone who truly uses a truck as a truck ... towing, hauling or 4 wheelin. Powerful, great handling and FUN FUN FUN!

Worst Features

Fuel economy doesn't even begin to hold up to the window sticker claims???

2003 Nissan Frontier 2dr King Cab XE-V6 4WD SB (3.3L 6cyl 5M)

Review

I drive my Fronty hard. I'm always delivering 10 foot metal studs and drywall with no problems. For a compact truck it's very rugid indeed. For the price of Frontiers you really get your money's worth. I recommend a Fronty to anyone shopping for a well built compact truck.

Best Features

The way it drives/feels and it's reliability.

Worst Features

I would suggest to Nissan to do away with the exterior "armor" trim look.

Review

I compared Chevy, Ford,GMC,Dodge,Toyota & Nissan.I settled on the nissan because of the history(making trucks since 1933), quality (one of the best records), price(3K less than the toyota) and dealer experience(modern nissan is the best). Toyota does not offer the long bed or manual trans. It's styling is tough & the rear is geared better at 4.64 axle ratio. The fit&finish of the truck is great, seats are comfy & snug to the body. The engine is powerful with fuel economy. seeing 21 hwy 17 city. Overall very pleased with this truck. All nissan frontiers are born in Smyrna, Tennesse with %60 american made parts more than 40-60% of "american" trucks.

Best Features

Power with economy. Internal and external quality. Overall "bad to the bone looks" of the truck. Long Bed. and of course the crew cab for the kids.

Worst Features

3 inches of more room in the crew cab section. Great for kids but not long trips for adults. Flat folding rear seat and back liner. Rear seat compartments.
