Here you go shawn757. Mercedes-Benz Financial's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 24 month lease of a 2011 S550 RWD with 15,000 miles per year are .00072 and 59%, respectively. The numbers for an otherwise identical 36 month lease are .00072 and 47%. The 48 month numbers are .00072 and 38%. If the S550 is eligible for Mercedes' "Value Added" program then you probably will be ... Read More
I sure do mm1250. Mercedes'Benz Financial's May buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 39 month lease of a 2011 S550 4Matic with 10,000 miles per year are .00094 and 50%, respectively for consumers who qualify for its top credit tier. The residual value for a lease with 12,000 miles per year, 39,000 total, would be 1% lower. Car_man Host Prices Paid: Buying & Leasing Experiences Forum
Hello Car_man, Mercedes is running S-Class 4matic lease during May for $1249/mo on a 39months - 32,5k miles. Do you know what residual and money factor is being used to base that rate? I've been having trouble finding dealers willing to honer that lease offer from Benz. Also, would you know residual value for 39k miles?
Ok for the life of me I can't find any forums that even mention the new 2011 XJ. I purchased the car ( XJL) this past December and so far so good other than a few annoyances. The first annoyance was that I had to take the vehicle back to the dealer for some upgrades in software and a whole list of other things to include replacing the hood latch(s) and ... Read More
Hey mjr26. Technically one could still lease a 2010 model, however Mercedes is not providing lease support on '10s any longer. Combine that with the low residual values that a '10 would have this late in the model year and you may find that if you want to lease that you will be better off going with a 2011 model. I believe that MB Financial's current buy rate standard lease money ... Read More
Car man.....there are a few 2010 S550's still on lots despite the fact that 2011's are out. There is 1 particular one (2010 S550 4Matic) I am looking at being sold by a local Mercedes dealer....it has 5,500 miles but has never been titled by dealer. They said they can do a lease on it and gave me a residual of 48% of 36 months....12k miles....and MF of .00330. Is Mercedes ... Read More
Hi samspan. Mercedes is indeed providing lease support on the 2010 S550. In fact, it enhanced its lease program on this car for July. It is now advertising a payment of $1,299 per month on this car. This payment assumes a dealer discount of $2,995. Given the fact that this car probably has a spread of around $6,500 between its full MSRP and its dealer invoice price, there is a decent ... Carman, Mercedes is having their "summer event" and are offerring what appears to be a subsidized lease.. 1399 /month for a 2010 s550 with the P2 package msrp 96000, but it requires 4400 in down payments. is this really a supported lease by mercedes ? is it a good deal for that msrp?
Greetings hybridman1. Here;s the information that you're looking for. Mercedes-Benz Financial's March buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2010 S400 with 12,000 miles per year are .00227 and 54%, respectively. I bet that the person who told you that MB Financial's acquisition fee increased to $1,195 was a dealer. I say this because the official fee is still $795, but dealers are ... Read More
Here's the payment on the S400, gs451. According to my calculations, if you were to lease a 2010 S400 that has an MSRP of $96,675 and a selling price of $91,470 through Mercedes-Benz Financial right now for 36 months with 12,000 miles per year, your zero down, pre-tax monthly payment would be around $1,417. I am not familiar with Edmunds' review of this car so I can't help you out there. ... Read More
Thanks for the additional information, gs451. The more flexible you are in terms of options, the better bargaining position you are in. You aren't necessarily going to have trouble negotiating an attractive deal on a car that has a specific set of options, but it won't help. Let's work up a sample payment on this car and see what we come up with. According to my calculations, if you were to ... Read More
Hi gs451. Mercedes isn't providing lease support on 2009 models any longer. So if your mother really wants to lease her new MB, she definitely will have to go with a 2010 model. Mercedes-Benz Financial's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2010 S550 2WD with 12,000 miles per year are .00263 and 52%, respectively. The numbers for an otherwise identical lease ... Read More

Have you also considered getting written offers from competitor companies like Mercedes-Benz and Audi. doing so makes them fight even harder for your money. They see you out doing research beyond just what they have it becomes very beneficial at the negotiating table
Earlier iterations of this board went thru the Lexus vs Mercedes War some time ago. Afterall a while it all got very tiring. So, at the risk of boring anyone, I'd like to give you my experience for what it is worth. I had a couple of free hours last night and I stopped in at a central MA Lexus dealership. The sales guys were remarkably well informed and seemingly had ... Read More
Wouldn't a S320 Bluetech actually make more sense? Well, they have it in the EU, but it's mileage, combined cycle, is better and it costs less. I'd bet the actual manufacturing cost is significantly less on the diesel, and now that diesel is less expensive than 87 octane, $.43/gallon where I live, the hybrid just doesn't make much sense. If you mostly did city driving, or it was a plugin, then ... Read More
It might look like an ordinary S-Class, but make no mistake, because the 2010 Mercedes-Benz S400 BlueHybrid represents a major step in the development of the hybrid luxury car. 2010 Mercedes-Benz S400 Hybrid First Drive
Just getting caught up to speed with everyone. Merc1- Great pics from Motown. I got some that I need to get on here also. Maybach? Mercedes just needs to cut their loses now and forget that they even attempted this arena of automobile. MAybe if they'd put the 3-pointed star on the hood, they wouldn't have to entice prospects with $20k in free upgrades. And lastly, of course, the good Doctor ... Read More

This is a very important period of growth for the LS, and for Lexus in particular. Think of it as when Lebron James went to the Cavs. Or when Tiger Woods played in the '97 Masters. If you still want a $65k Lexus LS, you can get one, and have the best car in that price range. And if you want more, you get more. I don't look at it as ... Read More
The Cayman version of the Boxster has turned out to be the true star, simply because the engine is in the right position for better balance. Cayman and Boxster engines are in the same position and balance is identical at 45/55 front/rear. You must be talking about both Boxster and Cayman as compared with the 911 Carrera which is 38/62. The Boxster S has garnered impeccable reviews ever since its launch ... Read More
Oh no a S550 Convertible will not happen. I'll eat the brochure if it makes it to production and is sold here at the local Benz dealer! OK then we are just going to have to defer this bet to some time in 2010. But if I lose I am not going to eat any brochure (some brochures are so big that swallowing one could be fatal). ;)
but a 4-door convertible S550, never! IMO of course. Well Merc you know the old saying: "Never ever say never". Apparently the sister company of MB will likely be introducing a 4 door convertible in the form of the next generation Chrysler 300C. If there is a 4 door convertible Chrysler than why not a 4 door convertible S Class Benz? Also notice that the link below provides no mention whatsoever ... Read More
"According to Auto Motor und Sport, the new Maybach 51 (with the model number indicating its 5.1 meter length) will not grace the marketplace before the 2009-2010 timeframe. ...cointunied from previous post... "Globally, Lexus is selling less than half of Audi's volume, and less than those of BMW and Mercedes- Benz." Not everybody falls for the line that car buyers demand a race-bred heritage for their cars, or that the Germans are the only manufacturers capable of producing high quality vehicles with a sporty drive. I agree with you about the IS relative to the 3-Series, but not the LS vs. the 7-Series. I've driven the 7-Series a few times now and I can't see Lexus allowing their car to ride to like that in order to get BMW-level handling. The last LS430 I drove rode like it wasn't even touching the pavement, but it keeled over like and old battleship when asked to change direction. ... Read More
I don't think it's necessarily Lexus alone that will be trouncing Mercedes-Benz in coming years... there are three main companies that have really upped their ante, and one is supposedly going to be as high of a seller as BMW and Mercedes-Benz by 2010: Audi- strongest MB/BMW competitor, because it has luxury and German engineering Infiniti- very sporty; closer to BMW than Mercedes-Benz Lexus- the complement to Infiniti, Lexus is to ... First of all anyone who is says Audi is not luxury automobile company doesn't know squat about automobiles. That is the most ignorant comment I have ever heard. Not only do you get heated seats in an Audi, but you get a dual DVD rear entertainment ... Read More
Now the A-Class and Smart are image problems with Mercedes too? Smart is a seperate brand entirely. You know like Toyota is supposed to be seperate from Lexus. Why would anyone buy a ES330 over the ... Read More
