  Thank you so much for the quick response. I had all the hoses and belts replaced in April (it is an Arizona car and I wanted them done as a precaution). I believe the mechanic said at that time that the transmission fluid looked good - not sure about the filter. I will check on both again.

  Has the filter and fluid ever been changed? If it is going out it comes down to one question. Is it Beyond Economical Repair?

  1997 infinity q45 145k. after starting car tcs off light illuminated and spin illuminated. has remain on. can it be reset? it will spin in gravel so the tcs is off. pushing button does not affect the light. help

  To anyone who is buying a used Q, be sure to check with a dealer regarding to the actual service history of the car not from some partial paperwork from the owner. In addition, it is highly advisable to have that vehicle inspected by a certified mechanic or Infiniti dealer.   I have spend too much time in here already but I am now hooked. I am looking at a 97 Q45 with 32k miles. It's cream colored and at an Infiniti dealer. The price is $23,900 and own owner. The dealer also offered an extended warranty to 5/72k and drivetrain to 7/100k for $400 more(Infiniti dealer).
