2015 GMC Yukon XL Denali 4dr SUV (6.2L 8cyl 8A)
the 8speed transmission has never shifted smoothly. extremely clunky and jerky at low speeds either slowing or accelerating. it slams gears down and up at low speeds. SLAMS
This is the worst new vehicle I have ever bought

2015 GMC Yukon XL Denali 4dr SUV (6.2L 8cyl 8A)
I bought the Denali brand new with only 11 miles on the odometer. By week 2 or 3 there was already some vibrations that would shake the truck from front to back. Many months later I find out the transmission has a known problem and requires 3 complete flushes of transmission fluid.
With the 22" wheels, this truck has a rougher ride than a stage coach in the old west before paved … roads. A year ago I purchased 18" wheels for taking trips with the family. My wife hates them, but does notice how much smoother the Denali rides. I own an '08 4Runner, '08 Avalon, and an '05 LS430. The $78,600 Denali rides worse than ANY of those other cars that all have more than 100,000 miles. The Denali has 64,000 miles.
This is my 3rd GM full-size SUV and will be my last. I can't stress this enough -- RUN AWAY FROM THIS VEHICLE. It is honestly, the most over-priced piece of crap that GM has ever built and I kick myself everyday for buying it brand new. It's 100% paid for, and my wife has agreed to drive it, which is the only reason why I don't trade it for a '78 Ford Pinto which would seriously be an improvement in ride characteristics. I haven't mentioned the front A/C issues that GM released a bulletin for, or how the rear A/C went out in less than 60K miles, but wasn't covered under warranty.
I give it 2 stars because the interior is decent quality and the electronics haven't been a problem (yet). Shame on GM for building such a pile of crap.
Big is better

2015 GMC Yukon XL Denali 4dr SUV (6.2L 8cyl 8A)
You don't buy this if mpg is a priority,if you need a lot of room to move people or items, this is for you.GM has done a nice job of making a large SUV easy to handle, load and drive, the leather sears are comfortable for long hauls, the electronics are easy to work and the 30 months of ownership it has only been in for regular service, nothing else.
Engine went out at 125k miles

2015 GMC Yukon XL Denali 4dr SUV (6.2L 8cyl 8A)
My 2015 GMC Denali just died on the side of the road with absolutely no warning while I was on the interstate with my kids. This vehicle has been well cared for and maintained so it was a shock to find out it needed a new engine at a cost of over $10,000. Now the best part there is no engines to replace it with so now I have my vehicle sitting at a repair shop that I am still currently … making payments on, no ETA on the engines arrival, and paying about $500 per week to rent a car to get to and from work. What does GMC customer service have to say… you are over your 100k warranty oh well, we don’t know where an engine is and happy holidays. I do not believe I will be purchasing a GMC ever again.
