2012 GMC Acadia SLT-1 4dr SUV AWD (3.6L 6cyl 6A)
When I was a kid we had Packards ( Ask the man who owns one ) ...after that we drove Chevys & Cadillacs. In the 80's we switched to German iron since all the US auto makers fell flat on quality.
My 2012 Acadia has revised my opinion of American quality. A very sophisticated work of engineering...very much on a par with the German product, as well as the Japanese...and at a more … realistic purchase price ...and very much more reasonable service charges.
The Acadia handles very precisely for such a large outfit. Mixed driving 20. 8 mpg. on the AWD version.
I am very impressed.

I purchased my Acadia in 2017 with a extended warranty driving off the lot taking my baby home noticed Radio was not working took it back dealership fixed also told them ac was not cooling on the way home they said oh it’s very hot out and I was like my Dodge Journey always cooled very comfy so this is not ok so they checked one of the hoses had a leak and they fixed I was like omg I … just bought the vehicle and already having issues a month later my car was really bouncy in the front took it In struts were bad the driver power window sensor gave out brakes bad needed new alternator and battery radiator resovoir was cracked all that on my first year of purchase second year now no more warranty ball joints,ac condenser, all three ac hoses, catylac converter this year in 6 months I payed over $4000 in repairs out of pocket and my Acadia still has many issues I cannot fix because of $$$ car is jerking pulling like it’s gonna stop my traction control goes off constantly with engine light flashing this is just horrible for the $28000. I financed this 2012 vehicle in 2017, car was only 5 years old with 38000 miles and now I can’t even trade in because I owe 15000 and car only worth 7000 :/ please do buy an Acadia yr 2012-2015 any mechanic will tell you they are horrible cars GMC Acadia Chevy Traverse and Buick Enclave all the same sad because they are beautiful looking cars but give a lot of stress and headaches. Only had vehicle 3 years total needed new transmission and new motor not worth it still owed 7,000 in the end it’s a trash car!!!!

2012 GMC Acadia SLT-1 4dr SUV AWD (3.6L 6cyl 6A)
Minor issues under 58k miles (AC/liftgate/power steering/waterpump). As soon as vehicle hit 59k miles and out of warranty....Transmission issues, Power Steering issues, Engine issues, Water Pump issues, Cat Converter issues, The issues are non-stop and dealerships are willing to help, but also willing to take $$ and lots of it! Maybe I am just so use to only replacing the tires, … brakes, oil, and fluids that FORD has spoiled me (driven over 1million miles with FORDs). Sad I can not even make it to 60K in a GMC without spending - maybe its normal, but I can say I do not like it.
Transmission/Acceleration issues

2012 GMC Acadia SLT-1 4dr SUV AWD (3.6L 6cyl 6A)
Size, features, extras all were a perfect match for me and my family. We have 2 kids, now entering grade school, so the extra seat for carpool and their stuff was great, yet the car drives more like a minivan than a large SUV. Unfortunately, I've had the car for 3 months, the transmission seems to slip and jerk constantly and now, the most scary part - while accelerating from stop, the … car sometimes takes 5 seconds to engage. This is 5 seconds for another car to T-Bone you in an intersection. My good wife dealt with it for several months, I experienced it myself this last week. Working with the dealer to return now.
