Thumps Up for the Intrepid
By Joe Hudon on

1999 Dodge Intrepid 4dr Sedan

This is my second Intrepid (my first new car purchase). I was drawn to the Intrepid mainly because of the price and the size. I found that the price was very affordable compared to equivalently-packaged Camrys and Accords. (However, the low resale value is going to come back to haunt me.) Being that I'm 6'4" tall, the Intrepid provides me plenty of room without cramping the rear passenger. Overall, my Intrepid has treated me very well. It performs very well on the highway, it's very comfortable to drive in, and the repairs have been insignificant.

Best Features

Peppy engine, smooth ride, spacious interior and trunk, sharp looks, reasonable price, and reasonable highway fuel economy.

Worst Features

Spice up the drab interior, and replace the performance tires with longer- lasting tires.
