Chevy knows whats wrong and won't fix it

There is a major issue with camshaft oil seal that causes multiple other parts to become faulty. Within 6mo of owning a pre-owned at 52,000 miles I was having oil consumption issues but was brushed off my 2 dealers. I began to ask for oil consumption tests but was told i would have to pay (which i learned later on is not the case). At every oil change, i would ask them to look for oil leaks, issues, or signs of problems but was given the all clear. Eventually my Equinox was stalling on the expressway and having shifting issues that cause me to get into a small accident. I finally took it to Genisis Chevy who actually listened to my complaints and issues and were able to find the Timing Chain to be completely eroded, the camshaft solenoids damaged, and the oil leaking from the Camshaft Seal. Being a poor College Student who saved to get a this car, the constant runaround telling me nothing was covered until i drove enough miles to make sure it wasn't covered under the warranty was extremely frustrating. CHEVY DOESN'T CARE about their dealers giving the clients a run around or the fact that they put thousands of cars with faulty seals on the road to cause harm to their clients or other people. If you have this car or years 2012-2015 please get this checked out! Don't let them push you around and put you $10,000 in debt of lost equity like they did me. I've put over $3,000 into this car fixing problems that should have been recalled, and Chevy only offering 1/3 of the cost for financial assistance. I could have died or cause serious damage to another person!!!

Easy to drive in any conditions!!! Very comfortable for an average size person. I bought it from a HERTZ Resale lot with 24,000 miles on it and have put on another 39,000 for a total of 63,000 miles. I've only changed the oil each 5K and put new tires on it at 50K. I keep asking that it be checked thoroughly and my dealer folks say it needs nothing (not even brakes) yet.

In April of last year, my Caddy, I had, went berserk again, but I had no choice at that time but to repair it. In May, a friend dicided to up date her SUV, so I dicided to purchase her "use" one. It was an 2013 Chevy Equinox, fully loaded, with 27, 000 miles, garage kept, plus her husband was an automobile mechanic, and ran the bus garage at the school where I use to work. I have had not problems, thus far. Did have to replace the tires on the car (had the original tires on the car). I have put in 15,000 miles on it since I got it in June 2019. Will take it in for its first oil change soon. Only problems thus far is the rear tire sensors are showing false readings and the computer lady has a hard time understanding me when I try to make phone calls. So far so good.

Last Chevy for me

Chevy sold me a car with a known & unresolved problem with the torque converter clutch. Not mentioned before the sale or the sale would not have occurred. I won't go into all the drama, but Chevy and the dealer sold a new car that needs the transmission dropped and would not replace a chipped chrome wheel, valued at over $700, that I did not cause. I have since traded this very poor example of Chevy quality, and yes, I took a real beating on the trade.
