I have a 2010 SRX Cadillac and just had a scary experience on this past Sunday driving on rte 495 near Billerica Massachusetts. Driving 65mph, all of a sudden my car felt like it was nose diving and instantly lowered to around 40mph. So abrupt my daughter awoke from a nap. Sluggish, was getting no power and I had to head to the breakdown lane immediately. Lights displayed on dash were ... Read More

I took my 2010 Cadillac into the dealership the day it happened the first time and they determined that the control selinoid (spelling?) had broken and even though my car did start accelerating again, they did not want me to drive it due to safety issues. They told me that they had never seen the control Selinoid break and it took about a week and a half to get the part. ... Read More

I'd pretty much shelved my 2004 SRX, but due to a small accident my wife's 2010 VW Jetta is in the body shop so she's driving the SRX to work. This morning I went to go put gas in the car forgot to deactivate the stability control and it activated on dry pavement jerked me to the side of the road all most hit a group of Jr. High kids walking ... Re: Carman MF and Residual [cnote2]
Written by: Car_man on Jun 24, 2010 2:55:17 AM
Here you go, cnote2. GMAC's current base lease rate and residual value for a 39 month lease of a 2010 Cadillac SRX Luxury FWD with 12,000 miles per year are 2.1% and 48%, respectively. As you can see, GMAC publishes lease rates instead of money factors for vehicles. You can convert its published lease rates into approximate money factor equivalents by dividing them by 2400. When negotiating your deal, make sure ... Read More

Re: 2010 Luxury Lease Residuals [tangier1]
Written by: Car_man on Jun 24, 2010 2:36:00 AM
Hi tangier1. It is virtually impossible for 15k and 12k leases to have the same residual value. 48% is GMAC's 36-month, 15k residual value for the 2010 Cadillac SRX Luxury. One needs to add 2% to that to convert it to 12k. As far as cash incentives go, General Motors is currently providing an $800 cash incentive on leases of the '10 SRX through GMAC. These programs are scheduled to run ... Read More

Car_man. I'm assuming the money rate doesn't change based on mileage, so it should still be 2.1%. But can you provide me residual on the 2010 Cadillac SRX Luxury AWD at 12k/yr?

FWD * $2400 down (including first month payment) * 39 months (shouldn't go over 48 months; why go higher as you'll be out of bumper to bumper warranty) * 12,000 miles per year * about $475/month ... Center Hubs
Written by: jim741 on May 31, 2010 6:42:27 PM
After the first wheel rotation from an authorized Cadillac dealer two of my 2010 SRX center hubs came up missing. Is this a common thing to happen? I noticed in a parking lot today another 2009 SRX with the same problem. Are there lockable ones available? If this is going to be a repeatable problem, I'll buy a BMW in the fall, and let some other person have this problem.

Posted somewhere that GMC is releasing 2011 Cadillac SRX as soon as June 2010. Can anyone confirm this release date? For 2011, GMC replaces Caribbean Blue with Mocha Steel and Black Ice. Wish list for 2011: 1. Better glue for those chrome pieces under the side mirrors (so they are not falling off like the 2010 SRX) 2. Re-tune transmission and engine for better sync and better mileage. 3. Re-tune the ... Read More

I wanted to buy Cadillac but was not willing to pay an extra $2000. Now I know why GM is coming out of bankcruptcy.

On top of that, I believe that you should be eligible for the $500 cash incentive that consumers who opt not to go with GM's 60-Day money back guarantee are entitled to. Hey bigliljen. You're actually lucky that your vehicle got pushed back into December, for some reason GMAC bumped up its residual values for the SRX by a couple of points this month. Its current base lease rate and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2010 Cadillac SRX FWD Performance with 12,000 miles per year are 3.55% and 50%, respectively.
