This is a dated car and doesn't compare
well with the competition. Who is Earl
Hartley, and who cares? However, "GM
points," 0% financing and generous
dealer discount ultimately made the
Regal more attractive. Reliability was
another consideration. In four years of
driving a '99, I had no problems
whatsoever. Only complaint was cheap
Goodyear tires which lasted about 20k
Strong V6 engine that you'd swear was a
V8. Power at any speed and runs on
regular gas. Nice quiet highway car
with "touring suspension."
Instrumentation that looks like it's
from the 70's. Cheap leather. Handles
like an American luxury car from the
80's. No improvements or updates in
four model years??? Someone needs to
breathe some life into GM.
