Great, great, great car!

The title of my review says it all! I love my T6. My S80 is a 99 which I bought a year old with 27,000 miles. It now has about 85,000 miles on it (I drive quite a bit) and it has been awesome! The car has literally been trouble free. All I've had to do is the regular maintenance (oil changes, air filter, etc...) which I do at the dealer. It's not expensive as I thought it would be. I have had no problems at all. I drive a lot and I really push the car. It's so much fun to drive! I recommend this car to anyone.

Worth More Than the Sticker Price!

Wow! What a great car this has been! Our first Volvo and definately not our last. We love this car! The performance is simply incredible. It's such a comfortable car as well. The reliability is top notch. We have owned several boring BMW's but we'll never go back. The S80 T6 is such a joy! Volvo gives you so much in this car for the price. This car stickers for under $50,000. For all the comparisons we did, we really feel this car should have been priced well over $60,000. No dissapointments at all!

Good Choice for Luxury

I am a salesman and I'm always on the road. I've owned several cars over the years and this is my favorite. I now have over 60,000 miles on my car (mostly highway driven) and it has been great. No problems to complain about at all. It gets great mileage and is very reliable. It's also so comfortable and a dream to drive on long trips. I would by this car again without a second thought. For under $50,000 it's a great choice.

Fake Transmission Issue

I bought a white 1999 S80 2.9 Executive (surround sound stereo with 4-disk CD changer and performance suspension and handling) with exactly 90,000 miles on it in September, 2008 for $5,500. I test drove it and it ran great! Two weeks after I bought it, the "attention" triangle lit up red and the status screen said "Transmission service urgent." I had the transmission rebuilt which was luckily covered under the warranty I purchased for from the dealer. After the rebuild, the warning came up again. I took it to my local Volvo dealership and they found out that the Mass Air Flow Sensor was bad and it has been a great car ever since! Easy $175 fix because of labor.

I purchased my vehicle used, and thought I was getting a good deal. I'm a volvo lover from the 70's, and I swear by volvos for their dependability etc. However this year of volvo has many bugs to be worked out. For example my headlights would not go out when I turned my car off. I called the dealer, and it took an expensive of well over $600 dollars to correct the problem. That's not including having to buy a new light switch at a cost of $200.00. I had to replace my gear shift twice because it would break when ever I parked my car on an incline, and tried to shift from park to drive. I will always stick with volvo, but not that year. It seem as though the Volvo creators took a nap.
