I LOVE MY JETTA BUT IT HAD MAJOR ISSUES.

Had to replace drivers side windor clips because the window fell in. EPC light came on because of a faulty brake switch. Karen Radley VW in Woodbrige, VA didn't charge me for the clips because it was covered by the warrenty. I don't know which warrenty. It expired at 24K. Sometimes around 3000 RPM in 5th gear doing about 80MPH the car stalls for a second. It recently started happening. I have never driven my car like a sports car. Have babied it. This shouldn't be happening. But I guess we all have the same Jettas with the same faulty/cheap parts in them. Good luck if you buy one.

Oh the problems and headaches this car has caused me. Poor cupholder design. Both front windows have fell down. (the dealer told me it was the heat in HOUSTON and this is the only city it happens in LOL)evertime I brought it in to get the oil changed, I have mentioned the windows and door panels rattling. He claims he's never heard of this car doing that. (I should have suspected something when everytime I go into the dealership they never have the same people working)Busted air coolant hose on the way back from AUSTIN. Dash lights going out at night. Don't think about putting in your own sound system. THE WORST...It's a gas guzzler.

So far so good. Car is FAST. Little tight in the back seat but a real fun driving machine. Car handles great and is quick off the light however have a hard time keeping the tires from spinning. A very solid performer.

The ignition start, sometimes wont start or sometimes u have to apply gas pedal to help the engine to start. not like honda & toyota easy to start. too bad for a brand new jetta Be careful when buying this car u need to try to start the engine otherwise u wont notice the problem. too noisy engine even though its brand new

Read all the sites before you buy a jetta!! I know I made a mistake, don't let it be you. The car looked awesome. Got more than a few compliments on the road. It had more than adequate performance with a 200 v6 and 5 speed auto. Nice sounds from the stereo when it worked. Loved to cruise at very high speeds.
