My third Explorer, and by far the best yet!

2025 Ford Explorer
I owned a 2015 and 2021 Explorer Limited, and like them both. The 2021 was the hybrid engine choice…and was interesting, if not a little clunky at lower speeds. But still, I liked it. Three months ago I purchased a 2025 Platinum and have been super impressed. It has the standard engine…and I was a little concerned it would feel underpowered…but I was wrong, it is peppy, and … responsive and when I need to accelerate quickly, it more than complies. The interior is a big step up from the previous models…it is very functional and upscale, with a variety of materials used. The exterior is basically the same, but new touches in the front grill and rear lights give it a more impactful look. The new touchscreen is a marvel, and I’ve found it very easy to use- I can quickly jump between my Apple CarPlay and the native Android Google system. My biggest surprise was the BlueCruise option. I took a deep breath and engaged the system…and was wowed. I drove from South Carolina to Louisiana and used the BlueCruise for almost half of the journey on the interstate highways. It is truly impressive. All in all, this is the best Explorer I’ve owned…and I love it! Update: Now at 14,000 miles and no problems! Drove it to Indianapolis and back (11 hours each way)…once again, Blue Cruise amazed me. Love this car.
