I recently bought my Prius, after test driving both it and the new Honda Civic Hybrid. I opted for the Prius because it seemed to have a little more "spunk," it has the reliability of a not-first-model-year Toyota, , the toyota is a SULEV, while the Civic is only a ULEV, and the turning circle is incredible. So far, the gas mileage has been between 45 and 48 mpg. The mileage varies a lot based on how fast one drives. Toyota charges a huge amount for either the CD player option. If possible, get these when you buy the car, because they are more expensive later.

The car handles like a dream! The fuel economy is terrific and I get so many comments from other people. Toyota has been fantastic in taking care of the only problem I have had with the car- the computer went out (probably due to very cold weather) and they were amazing! The car has had no problems since. I would have never written a review of any car I have owned in the past, but this little gem is super. I can't wait to get into a new one next year!

The 2002 Prius is fabulous. I have owned it for 3 1/2 years with no problems. The car gives terrific gas mileage, steady, comfortable performance and excellent reliability.
I love this car!

We now have 9000 miles on our Prius, and every time we get in it my wife and I still look at each other and say out loud, "I love this car!" Incredible build quality and zero problems after one year of ownership. Legendary "stealth mode"...still have fun freaking people out (usually bikers or joggers) by cruising by silently. Only one minor complaint...gas mileage really suffers in our cold winters. Sometimes the engine will turn on just to produce heat for the passenger compartment!

Very pleased with car. Good gas mileage at 46.7mpg(owned 79 rabbit diesel)much greeneer than other car. Have tire problems now and needs alignment, warranty good for one free alignment up to 20,000. Have 24,000 on car now. Made mistake not looking at warranties closer.
