Toyota Matrix = College Student's Dream
I live in Upstate NY, and I must say that the AWD Matrix handles winter weather exceptionally well. Also, as a college student, the space the Matrix provides (especially when the seats fold down) is extremely accommodating. I practically fit my whole dorm room into this wagon! I love the Matrix so much that if I was ever to purchase a new car, it would definitely be a newer version of the Matrix, I cannot see myself driving any other car that fits my needs. The gas mileage for an AWD car is amazing: I drove from Oneonta, NY to Rochester, NY on a full tank of gas and I had above a half a tank still available. I've also found it to be very fun car to drive and the seats are very comfortable!

My Matrix
This is the first new car I've ever driven and I love it! The seats are so comfortable I don't mind sitting all day in them. The stereo is awesome. I just love it. I couldn't ask for a better car.
Satisfied Owner
It is a smooth riding small car with nice style and acceptable performance. I only have 637 miles on the car so I don't really know about economy but I suspect it will be very good. I like the way it drives on the highway and it's easy to park and handle on city streets. I am getting lots of positive comments about the car... that happens to be radiant red. Overall it will meet all my needs.
What else can I ask for?
Bought mine during the President's Day sale at $17400 after the $500 rebate with the Pkg #2 & the 6-CD system. Ample rear seat space. I'm 5'11". When I sit in the back, at least 2" b/w my knees and the bk of the front seat. The ride comfort is sacrificed by the sports tuned suspension for better cornering. I was able to keep up with my friend's Mustang at a sharp turning exit ramp while the other cars just gradually became smaller on my rear-view mirror. I expected more from the premium 6-speaker stereo though. The old 4-speaker stereo in my '03 Camry sounds a lot better. You will love the versalite cargo space, trust me! Other cool features incld. 110V outlet, tire pressure monitor.
