2025 Crown trim level differences
The 2025 Toyota Crown is offered in three trim levels: XLE, Limited, Nightshade and Platinum. The XLE, Limited and Nightshade have a 236-horsepower four-cylinder hybrid powertrain, while the Platinum uses a turbocharged engine and hybrid powertrain producing 340 hp. The XLE Limited and Nightshade trims use a continuously variable transmission, while the Platinum features a traditional six-speed automatic. All models come with all-wheel drive. Which 2025 Crown trim does Edmunds recommend?
The base XLE trim is a solid choice for the Crown. This year it adds ventilated seats and a heated steering wheel to its long list of standard equipment, which also includes heated front seats, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, adaptive cruise control and blind-spot warning. The Platinum is much more potent but its turbocharged engine also uses more gas.
