Excellent Reliability, Great for Families
I drove the 2012 Toyota Camry LE for approximately 3 months/3500 miles as a daily driver with 60% highway/40% city driving. First impressions were very positive. It's a Toyota, it's rock solid reliability and build quality are unmatched. The cabin was incredibly quiet, the 6-speed automatic transmission very smooth. The gas mileage was very impressive, yet didn't feel like it compromised power (for it's class). This car would be great for relaxed drivers and families looking for excellent value.
2012 Camry caught my eye
The new sporty look caught my eye of the Camry XLE and the V6 engine surprised me, this is not your grandmas' Camry (combines both comfort and sporty capability)

Seats are terrible
I had Toyota Camry before 1998 until it was stolen. I loved this car so much. So i decided to buy again Toyota Camry and it was 2012. I didn't pay attention so much to the seat during drive test and you can not feel anything for 5 minutes. After started driving, oh my God, I found out how terrible the seats are!!! How cheap they made are!!! How small, firm and very uncomfortable and the angle is like in race car. Plus they put some cable in the seat for the material not to move. You feel like you seat on wire cable. There are 2 of them right in the middle where you sit. I seat on my low back with knees in the sky. My low back is killing me. Not any cushions help because the design of the seat is very poor. Sop I have to get rid of this car. It doesn't matter how good the car is if yoiu can not sit comfortable. In my opinion, they lost the quality that they used to have. Now it is just average world standard, nothing about customer satisfaction. If in older cars you can change the foam of your seats and make it how you want, then in new cars, you can not change anything, they build like a solid piece. My question why????? Because nobody cares anymore about quality and comfort, just money!!
Very reliable, great daily driver.
I love my 2012 Camry LE. I bought it at 40,000 miles and it now has 80,000 miles. Only thing I needed to do on it wow oil changes and brake pads. It handles great and it has a decent passing pick up for a 4 cylinder. It gets a great gas mileage on the highway and the city. I have a heavy foot but I still manage to get 25mpg combined and that’s me pushing the car everyday.
