Used 2000 Toyota Camry Consumer Reviews
Boo's Camry
This is my first Camry. My husband talked me into the V6 - which I am glad now that I did buy. The only thing with the V6 is if I get on it - the gas mileage goes down. This will not be my only Camry I will ever own. This is the most reliable car I have ever owned.
Great car
This car was brand new on a three yr rental by me in 2000, then purchased at the end of the rental in 2003. What better way to buy when you like the car and know the exact maintenance history? It is now 2009 and the vehicle has 117,000 and the engine is still purring along and the body is still in great shape, rides/handles great and has been very reliable. Only negative is the factory radio. It is very expensive to replace or repair. Overall it has been a great car and I would buy another Toyota.
Best Value of any Car...Period
I have owned the car for over 5 yrs now and have minimal problems. Purchased car with 22k miles in 2003 and have just put my 2nd set of tires on it (third total set but original Dunlaps were toasted when we bought it). Passenger window is broken, needs new motor. I just also did the front brakes, pads and rotors. New battery a few weeks ago. Other than this, in 5+ yrs, nothing is wron with this car. Nice style and of course, superior toyota quality. This is the BEST CAR VALUE for the MONEY ! I bet with proper maintenence/oil changes, this car would run 300k+ ! If this car fits your budget, buy it, you will not be disappointed!!
Good basic transportation
My Camry LE, 4 cylinder is driven primarily in town with an occasional road trip thrown in. The car runs without a hitch and gets great gas mileage. I average 20 mpg (city) while highway averages 32 mpg. The powertrain warranty is 5 year/60K miles. It's not an exciting car to drive, but I didn't buy it for "fun" factor. The ergonomics of the dash are great, I can reach for anything without even looking for it. The car seats four comfortably, I've never had five people in it. The trunk is accommodating and can be extended into the backseat. Because of Camry's reliability (I drove my '93 LE, 4 cylinder 183,000 miles!), I'm sure I'll have this car for a VERY long time.
Good performance...
I've had this car for almost 3 years, and the results are very satissfactory. The car runs great, and it's very reliable, and neat. The only problem I had with this car since I leased was with the alignement, or tires. In other words, the car always pulled to the sides. Bottom line? Before you get your car, and believe me toyota's are very reliable and great cars. Test drive the autmobile "WITH NO RUSH" Check to see if it feels the car drives right. If it doesn't? DO NOT BUY IT. Go to a different dealer and until you find what you like.. oh and remember you aren't buying apples....This is an INVESTMENT ;)
