Second Solara, bought the 2004 last year with fake Mileage (98k) drove for a year and got scared after odo rolled back to 0.0000. Quickly traded it for for this 07. This car keeps going. Starts anytime I call. I could have several other cars but I must have a Solara around in the next 10yrs. This has a fake mileage too, but I do my oil changes and do other good cares so let’s keep going for another 100k

Oil consumption

I've enjoyed my Toyota Solara, except that at EVERY oil change it's been 1 quart low of oil. We took it to the dealer for an oil consumption test and were told that it's normal for it to consume that amount of oil every 5,000 miles. I've never driven a new car that I had to put oil into at that rate. It doesn't seem to be leaking, but still concerns me. Other than that, it's a comfortable car that handles well. View over the shoulder is a bit obstructed, but you can use your mirrors if adjusted properly. 6CD changer has already been replaced once by factory and appears to be going out again.

The Best Toyota I Have Ever Owned

I get about 20-22 MPG on the road. I installed the back up beeping sound to alert me if anything is in my path. The car has been great!! I love driving it. I have been a Toyota driver for years. This particular Solara has a Lexus look and feel.

Third One!!!

I'm on my third one...been driving them for 20 years. I put 155K on the first two and still was easily able to sell them for $4K. The third is my nicest...all have been coupes. V6 is the only way. I'm in Buffalo NY and my 04 has zero rust. Never even waxed it. These cars have been work horses for me and I'm very hard on a car. The fold down rear seats are so handy and with a hitch on the car, I can tow a small trailer behind which comes in very handy. Currently 146K on the odo and I would still drive it anywhere. It has been very well maintained but getting tired. Would love to find an 07' with under 90K on it but after looking for two years, it either doesn't exist or they want a ridiculous price for it. In the meantime, I continue to enjoy it everyday. My other car is an Audi A7. Amazing ride on a whole different level.

Sport Convertible

This is my 2nd Solara and I love it! The vehicle is not a "sports" car, not good for those who want the (unnecessary) acceleration and zip of other sport cars. This is more of a cruising/touring vehicle. Feels like a hot knife through butter on the road, velvety ride, smooth handling. Handles very luxuriously and the sport trim adds a little more pizzaz with the interior carbon trim (as opposed to woodgrain), sport pedals and ground effect. Very quiet on the road, top up or down. Bluetooth is impressive even with the top down on the interstate - conversations are easy.
