They got me again..I originally wanted the SE normally aspirated however my wife talked me into test driving the Hybrid..the only hybrid this particular dealer had was a black xle and I did what I always say I’m never going to do..fall in love. The car is sexy and so of course I fell in love and had to have it..wrote the check for 32k and haven’t looked back..whoever said they get 37 mpg probably doesn’t understand the system. I bet they’re operating the vehicle in sport mode which obviously throws their listed mpg out the window. When I operate the car in eco mode I average 50 mpg and that’s half city half highway. Great car, great ride, reminds me of the drive quality of a 5 series bmw. Another reviewer said that the apps suck(perhaps they’re commenting on the 2018 camry system)..well ya they do but when you have Apple PLAY who cares about the stupid toyota apps! It works great and I love having apple play. The normally aspirated 4 cyl version drove completely different, to me, it’s sluggish and upgrading to the v6 is great however it advertises something around 22 mpg city..I ended up with the hybrid mainly because of the driving experience the mpg is just icing on the cake.

Very quiet car, amazing fuel efficiency, just like the MPG numbers they published. Very smooth transition between engine on and off. The adaptive cruise control is a smart design. The car will try to keep a safe distance while still trying to maximizing the fuel efficiency.

This is my 3rd Camry hybrid, 7th Toyota hybrid. This latest generation Camry by far surpasses the previous. Gone is excessive body flexing, overly soft and outdated suspension and steering apparatus. I’m very picky, been into cars all my life, on a recent 4200 mile road trip, I found nothing to complain about with this well engineered vehicle. My passengers were comfortable with no complaints. Not to compare it with BMW, this Camry brought me back to the days of driving my 2001 BMW 5 series, in terms of size, ride, comfort and handling. Highlights, voice commands to the navigation system was spot on “find nearest Holiday inn express”, didn’t fail me once for a 16 day trip, even going through Canada amazing! The JBL system sounds great. As an additional bonus with 3 people, the trunk filled to the top, averaged 45 mpg! What other vehicles can do all the above mentioned. This is the first car I can actually say, I’m going to drive this until it dies.

A lot of safety features are standard even in the base Hybrid LE model. I get about 48-50 mpg. The Camry Hybrid provides a very comfortable and quiet ride. The 2019 models include Apple air play, which is very useful for navigating via Waze app. I like the dynamic cruise control which is great in rush hour traffic as well as on freeways. Along with great features like lane departure alert and safety sense pre collision system, this car has everything. They also have useful features like brake hold so you don’t have to press on the foot brake pedal when you are at traffic lights waiting to turn green. I love this car, and cannot find anything that I do not like. If you are in the market for a Hybrid that is safe, reliable and gives great mileage, look no further. You will enjoy the ride too.
