Love my new 2022 4Runner Limited
This is my first 4Runner and I absolutely love it. I was driving a highlander, which I still own and was about to purchase another one but saw the 4Runner and had to have it. It rides like a truck which I love. It sits up high and rides very smooth. Mine came with a third row and it likely will not be used much but nice to have in case I need it. My only complaint is I wish it had more air vents like my highlander. But overall I love my new ride.

Ultimate 4Runner
I’ve had many 4Runners in the past and this one is definitely the ultimate. Just purchased a 2022 4Runner limited in 2wheel drive. Traded in my 2021 4Runner limited. The 2022 has Blindspot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, and a Birdseye view camera, all added for this year. This is the 4Runner I have been waiting on. All of the excellent attributes of the previous 4Runners plus all of the new safety updates. Kudos to Toyota for FINALLY coming through. If you’ve been waiting to purchase a forerunner, now is the time to purchase the 2022 model. You won’t be sorry. Just as when I purchased my new 4Runner, no issues and the best Toyota ever built. Just as when new, no issues and the 4Runner is the best Toyota ever built.

Very stylish looking truck in Black
Just purchase 2022 Toyota 4Runner TRD Sport. Very comfortable vehicle. xReas suspension is the same one they use in the Lexus GX To me this version of the truck in black is the best looking 4Runner out there plus I saved 10k by not not going with a limited which Drives the same. June 6, 2022 update. I had the vehicle since December and put on 4K miles. Really nice looking truck especially in black. It gets a lot of compliments. For a large suv it handles very well. Love the commanding view of the road and spacious interior. I upgraded the speakers all around and adding an under the seat Alpine subwoofer amplifier combo since stock speakers are terrible.

2022 4 Runner Limited 4x4
I just bought the 2022 Limited model 4x4 Blizzard Pearl, it has the 360 degree cameras. Equipped with blind spot warning, parking sensors, radar cruise control and Toyota safety sense. It has two tone of brown leather heated and cooled seats, and the JBL sound system. This came without the running boards which I installed. In my opinion the Limited looks a lot better with them, very completed SUV. The gas mileage is reasonable, It only has 300 miles and I'm doing 18 mpg with mixed driving. Very nice and bright LED headlights and fog lights, The DRLs and turn signals are not LED but can be replaced by LED The SUV feels solid, stable and comfortable. I had a 2022 Silverado which was devalued 15k in the first year. It won’t last like 4 Runner will. I do highly recommend 2022 4Runner to everyone.

Just right for us
We have had a 1999 4Runner since 2004, bought to go to our remote cabin in the Sierras. It handles everything we could throw it, including lots of forest service roads of questionable integrity, but also countless family road trips/camping trips. When it was time to replace our old Dodge PU, another 4Runner seemed like a No Brainer, so we also now drive a 2022 4Runner TRD Off Road Premium. The new 4Runner has grown in many ways, some for the better like more interior space, and larger, more comfortable seats. But it lost a bit of its nimbleness and tight turning radius, but feel the compromise was well worth the gains. The 5th Gen 4Runner we bought has the KDSS Suspension package upgrade and handles turns well, but the SR5 we drove was much more boat like in handling. The new 4Runner is much quieter, smoother than our '99 and looks great. But if you are comparing it to other Unibody car-like SUVs, it may come up short with less power/fuel efficiency than say a Highlander. While I LOVE the cockpit feel of the dash and the business-like, easy to use controls, some may think it's unrefined, but it's really a truck in disguise, so I actually like the choices Toyota made. One thing Toyota SHOULD have done was make Remote Start/Remote Connect, and Auto Climate Control part of the Premium trim level, not just on the Ltd and Pro trims. Other things we (and our dog) love are the roll down back window, something NO other new SUV has, the myriad of 4 wheel drive modes to get us unstuck off road (or keep us from getting stuck in the 1st place), and the feeling that this thing will go anywhere and not get us stranded like the rented 2018 F-150 did when a stick went through the transmission oil pan 17 miles from town. I am turning 60 this year, and if this lasts like our '99 4Runner, may be the last vehicle I ever buy.
