Model Y at 15,000 miles
The model Y continues to excel. A great drive with real road feel. Fantastic in snow and winter weather with snow tires. Range still excellent at 315. Note that fender benders are expensive since Tesla only guided you to certain body shops and since aluminum crumples easily. Would buy again without hesitation!

Paradigm Change
My Model Y long range is now just a little over three months old and approaching 7,000 miles. There is virtually nothing out there like it when it comes to performance, comfort and safety. It's a whole new world and even though the naysayers will continue to harp on the fit and finish issues, when you do an honest comparison to any of the ICE competitors or even the other all electrics the Tesla stands out head and shoulders above the crowd. Incredible power and handling and you always feel in total control of the car. Good range even with the bigger wheels and tires and the acceleration boost option, but never a worry about getting out of supercharger range when going on a longer trips. I'm an old guy and have owned a new BMW X3, Porsche Macan and Cayenne and they can't hold a candle to the model Y. BMW was a maintenance nightmare having to be towed twice within the first 15,000 miles for defective injectors and fuel pump. The Porches were fun but had just as many quirks and noises as the Tesla and the frequency and costs of oil changes and scheduled maintenance was off the charts. Wasting time at dealer service departments just isn't my thing whether it be for repairs or regular service. I do understand the fit and finish complaints but you need to put them in perspective. I see a few issues on mine in that regard but I didn't get out a micrometer to check the gaps since everything works just fine, doors, trunk, frunk without water intrusion. I've been to a gas station once in the last three months to get a cheap soda. Love it!

My first Tesla
This is a great driving vehicle with amazing technology. If you love acceleration, comfort, sporty handling and technology, this vehicle is for you. World class in every respect imo. Build quality is not as good as foreign vehicles but good by U.S. standards. All in all, a truly special vehicle! Test drive one and see for yourself.

The Future of Cars
It’s hard to reconcile the rating divergence for the Tesla Model Y. To have so many five star ratings as well as numerous one and two star ratings is a true conundrum. Our Tesla Model Y is so superior to an ICE vehicle it’s almost unbelievable. If the one and two star ratings are valid then clearlyTesla must do a better job at quality control. Perhaps the negative reviews are for early VIN cars? If the bad ratings are valid then I guess we were lucky! We took delivery in early December and our vehicle had several improvements over earlier VIN’s such as double pane glass and a few other upgrades over the early models. The only issue we’ve had so far is a WiFi connectivity issue that was related to having a WiFi extender. Fit and finish was excellent. I will say that Tesla needs to up its game on interior finish materials since at thIs price point it’s competing with Mercedes, Audi and BMW. It’s a beautiful clean modern interior but a bit more alcantara, polished aluminum, soft touch door panels, carbon fiber etc.. would be appropriate when spending $50k plus. The car is crazy fast, handles like it’s on rails, has a great range and charges fast. While the interior could use a bit more luxury touches that deficiency is more than compensated for by its clearly superior technology. As for folks who think it has a rough drive I’ve no idea what they are taking about. To me it’s a perfect balance of great handling vs smooth and cushy. After having owned a Tesla Model Y I feel like I’ve gone back in time when getting into conventional ICE cars with all their silly buttons, dials and switches. Yes, some people just can’t adapt so quickly to such a modern clean interior. That’s why Fords new MachE interior looks like the designers felt they needed to hedge their bets and include a bunch of unnecessary controls and buttons. Umm...I wonder if Henry Ford included a buggy whip as standard equipment on the Model T to make customers more ‘comfortable‘. 😂
Car dangerously cold no heat brand new car
Tesla Y left my family to freeze in zero degree weather. The heater completely stopped working. Car is only a month old. Hard to like anything about car when you are freezing in it. Service on app only. No easy emergency call.
