Love the quiet drive and quick acceleration
Decided to buy a slightly used Tesla instead of waiting for a new order to arrive, so happy with the car and plan to go all electric now.

Such a good car
A few months into ownership and as expected the Model 3 is such a good car. We have the Long Range Dual Motor model, bought used, and it just feels like an insanely fast tank on the road. So grounded and solid, yet so quick and responsive. It's a joy to drive, and the in-car software is second to none. Tesla's software is by far, the best around, and makes driving an electric car a seamless experience. Navigation automatically routes you to Superchargers, conditions your battery on the way so that it's optimally prepared to receive the surge of electrons, and sends you on your way when you have what you need. Voice commands do almost everything, the lack of buttons is never an issue and once you live with the interior design for a while you notice how every other non-Tesla car looks like it's 15 years old, even brand new ones. Seriously, stop wasting your time on other auto brands. Remember when you finally got your iPhone and realized what the fuss was all about? Same thing.

don't believe the myths
I now own the 2021 model 3 sr+ for over a year and it's been the most fun I've ever had with any car. There are constant myths about Teslas in the news because of all the "haters" and the click bait for negative articles. I think some of the negative reviews are from people who think they own a Tesla but actually don't. (they wish they could afford one). The ride is a little harsh but that's the trade off the 42lb pressure tires (efficiency). I can probably lower the air pressure and get a smoother ride over bumps but it doesn't bother me since I love sporty feel cars and this is definitely one of them. The pick up is so nice and never gets tired. Seats are really comfortable. (back seats are a little low but you can always place a seat cushion to raise an adult up a bit, also it's rare anyone ever sits back there). Plenty of space for luggage, etc. Supercharging network is the best there is. It's why Tesla will be the benchmark for a long time (until they open the network to other manufacturers). Auto pilot is fun! Just be careful and really take your time learning how to use the many functions of this car. It's kind of like expanding your knowledge of a program on your computer. You grow with it over time. They gave a huge update this year over the air and it's practically like a new operating system. So it takes time to get re aquainted. The steering is really tight, the center of gravity so low that turns are effortless and sharp. On center highway driving is super comfortable without having to make those micro corrections so many other cars require. The range of the sr+ is 263 rated. It's enough for most trips I take and larger trips get routed to include charging stations. If you buy one of these you'll feel about 10 years ahead of most other Americans. Also, you'll never need to buy gas. Just make sure you have a garage (or carport) and a home level 2 charger. (240volt). That way, you barely ever need to charge anywhere else. Oh, and the look of it is really sharp. Test one when you can. There may be no going back. But it's also a car enthusiast's dream car. Most people would rather drive their Toyota Camry forever so the Tesla is not for the "everyday person".
