Flew to another state to buy a 2024 Ram 2500. The price was fine, but on day ONE the transmission developed a vibration and then a noise and then a leak, I took it to dealer and after several days I was informed the transmission was bad. It sat longer and I was finally told that Ram gave an approval to remove and inspect. Then I was given the news that there were metal shavings in the fluid and also in the transmission bellhousing. I have been waiting for a month and all I'm told is that the new transmission and associated parts are on national back-order with no E.T.A; I am beyond words at this point !!

Rebel 4dr Crew Cab 4WD SB (6.7L turbodiesel 6A) Not an option in Model pulldown. Overall very pleased with the vehicle even though we experienced a transmission failure within the first 3 months of ownership. Comfortable, Easy Towing, Plenty of power. Dealing with the factory warranty department on the other hand is very frustrating to say the least. All companies will have issues with vehicles, it is how they resolve the issue that makes the difference. There is a factory warranty of 5 years 100,000 miles and you can get an extended warranty to take you out to 8 years plus. If you have to use either that is where the issues arise. The toll free numbers provided have you in a que that leave you on hold for hours and if you are patient enough to remain on hold there is nothing they can do for you. Our vehicle was in the shop for 12 days waiting for authorization to start repairs and repair parts. This happened over Christmas and New Years Day so I understand some of the timing and delay. The service department was very helpful considering the timing, but dealing with warranty department and trying to get any resolution for out of pocket expenses is a nightmare.
