2025 Porsche Cayenne Consumer Reviews

Nope. False advertising. Clunky old technology
Still cannot find a single feature that is better than BMW. The 2025 Cayenne is clunky at best. The advertised electric mileage is completely false (you get about 30miles on a full charge vs advertised 60), and charging time is over 4 hrs on 220V and over 14 hrs on 120V). Ambient lighting is an absolute joke, features are clunky, can’t even see song titles or change the station from steering wheel, very limited user controls, almost zero console room, no auto drive or parking, very loud fan noise, electric mode sounds like a vacuum cleaner, gas mode is way too loud inside vehicle. Lacking many many features that competitors have today. Would never recommend.

Poor quality for a 100k car
The adaptive cruise control system suddenly stopped working, the dealer fixed it under warranty. 7 days later it stopped working again for no reason. There is no regular cruise control function available when the ACC is not working, which means you cannot set a fixed speed driving on the highway, very annoying. I cannot believe how poor the design and quality it is. I would never buy a Porsche again.

I've wanted to own a Porsche for well over 25 years and finally ponied up and ordered a 2024 Cayenne base. I wasn't able to find a "stripped" down version on any lot in the US so I configured a base with premium plus package, heated steering wheel and sport chronograph. I worked with all 5 Houston area dealers and none were willing to give me their allocation for a Cayenne w a MSRP below $100K. I finally pleaded with the GM of my most local dealer and asked if he'd order my specific build code. The GM did provide the 2nd year maintenance and ceramic tint on 2 front doors gratis, which is great. After 5 months of waiting, with great updates on the MyPorsche app, it finally arrived. The Montego Blue Metallic did not disappoint, it's simply beautiful. I feel totally connected to the Porsche when driving it; to the road, engine HP, and PCM electronics. The ergonomics are fantastic. I don't consider my vehicle stripped at all, but most Cayenne's on the lot have special order rims / tires, interior, soft close doors, paint, etc, that add over $25K to the MSRP. I'm happy with the base rims, black leather interior w cooled seats, and the base doors close just fine. I've read some poor reviews on Cayenne's and was a bit concerned but after 3 months and 1,000 miles I have no problems or worries. The vehicle has great performance and handling. I was concerned with the transmission "selector" being on the dash but it was easy to get used to. The cargo area is great and my road bike fits great in there. I did order "weather tech" type floor and cargo mats as the factory mats are not very robust. I also bought after-market puddle lamps and installed them on all 4-doors. I must add that the front license plate is not practical so I opted out of mounting, per the dealers recommendation. The plate gets in the way of the auto-parking sensors and looks out of place, so mine's in the glove box for now. Another surprise is I've averaged over 21 MPG to date. I have been over 100 MPH several times so am pleased w the performance and fuel economy. Bottom line is I don't think I'll own another brand vehicle again, Porsche for me.
