Used 1996 Oldsmobile Aurora Consumer Reviews
9 years of Aurora Love!
Bought my second '95 Aurora last year after turning 225,000 miles on the first one (still in the family and driven by son), this latest was a low mileage dark cherry metallic. Over the year it has not disappointed! Needs some new shocks but now with 99,000 miles, still rides like a dream and pounds out the acceleration. Only problem, where will I get another when this one fades?

This is the first car I ever paid cash for and had reservation at first but have been more than satisfied. After owning this car for a year and a half the only money put into it was for the 100,000 mile tune up which put me back $300. Ouch! This car drives so-o smooth, it's like it floats on the interstate. I'll take one of these old cars over a new cheaper model anyday!! All of the bells and whistles are great! Defrosting sideview mirrors, heated leather seats (couldn't live without them!)and passenger side climate control makes this my perfect car!!

AC, power sterring, transmission, front struts, starter, power windows, fuel tank door and breaks have all been repaired or replaced at least once, AC twice. If this is an indication of how US car manufatures are catching up with the Japans and Europeans don't buy them! I bought the car used and have enjoyed it's looks and ride, but the repairs were a bummer, even thought the first year I owen it the repairs were coverd by GM.
Lemon alert
Don't buy used! Kept my car in mint condition, but engine (head gasket) went at 150000 miles and will cost $8000 (Canadian) to replace!!!!!!! Obviously I'm not buying another GM product.
