This SUV is so awesome. My husband was not too sure about my choice. After riding in this only twice...he now wants one for himself. He loves the huge truck tires. This rides and drives like a truck. The insurance rate was so low. I went from a 98 dodge van to this vehicle and only raised my monthly insurance by $15. WOW! This is a truly amazing vehicle. I will never own anything else. Keep it UP!!

I have owned a Nissan and was very happy with the quality and reliability of Nissan's products. I went from a Nissan pickup to the Xterra and am very satisfied with this SUV. Fuel mileage is better than I expected (6 cyl.) Performance, quality, looks/styling are all good. One suggestion to Nissan, cutback on the amount of interior plastic, otherwise the Xterra is an excellant SUV.

The drivetrain of the Xterra is great. The engine/ transmission work together well and the 4x4 works great. Rear seat entry is tough but roomy once you get in (I'm 6'2"). The plastic interior is easily scratched. We've had problems with a squeak in the hood latch and a noise from the fuel pump. Both of these noises were loud and took a while for the dealer to fix. Overall the Xterra has been a decent vehicle with a few minor problems.

I purchased this SUV in June 2004. I have been very satisfied with it. While it is built for rugged use, it is excellent around town and on the highway as long as one realized this automobile is buit on a truck frame and responds accordingly. The interior is comfortable with well thought out space usage. No repairs have been required to date. I highly recommend this SUV.

I bought this vehicle new, ordered in the color and trim level that I wanted. In the 5 years I have owned it I have had to replace (under warranty - the fuel tank sensor, a u-joint). The CD player quit working just off of warranty and I haven't changed it as I use an ipod with FM modulator. The vehicle overall have been fantastic. I have put a couple hundred thousand hassle free kms on it and it hasn't had any more problems than any other vehicle I have ever owned. It's still solid, tight and peppy. Excellent for a small family, great for work use in the oilfield. Reliable.
