I still never want to drive this car again (2024)
The car looks good, the interior feels nice. But my driving experience has been terrible. The acceleration is incredibly slow, even flooring you'll barely get ahead of traffic. Just trying to keep up with traffic you almost have to floor anyways, making the engine scream when you're really moving as fast as fast as others who are completely silent compared to you. Breaks are terrible, it feels like the car is simply too heavy for whatever breaks are installed. Bar of soap on a wet floor. It's how breaking in this car makes you feel like. Steering wheel feels very cheap. I never felt safe in this car. Like if I ever need to escape an accident, by accelerating or breaking, I'll never be able to do it. I also had terrible mpg of 25, eventho I am driving 90% of the time on the freeway at 65mph. I felt duped by the computer saying I had a mpg of 39, when my own calculations found that result completely bogus. I am cheap, I only had a yaris before, so I wasnt used to more expensive cars. The sentra just doesnt feel safe to me, I would only drive this car in a life or death situation. And as matter of fact, I sold that car 8 months after buying it because driving 80 miles daily, I thought I was going to get in an accident. The only moment I liked that car was when I bought it, it looked good. But driving it was a nightmare. 2022: I'm so happy I sold this horrible car. Never again! 2024: I'm sorry for whoever bought one of these. Seriously. Between horrendous gas mileage for the performance and horrible acceleration... . It would need to be the only car left in the world for me to consider driving this again.

Buyng & Driving the car was easy, dealing with WC
I would recommend this car. I feel that it is a good car for the price. However, I would not recommend buying it from Wesley Chapel Nissan. Everyone there was very pleasant and all were accommodating while I was there. Since leaving the dealership, which was about one month ago, I have not been able to get anyone to return my calls or emails.

Safety Issues
My wife purchased a 2015 Nissan Sentra SL in September of 2015. The gas mileage never did get to where the dealer reported the gas mileage would be. In March of 2016 at 7:30 AM in the morning a car ran a red light and tore the whole frontend off of the car. Some the damage was done on the left side of the car. Not one airbag went off during the accident. I decided to talk to the shop people at the dealership and they gave me a number to call at Nissan. I called and the guy gave me a 30 minute talk on why the airbags did not go off. They took my message and about a week later a guy called and gave me the same spill about a head on collision to make the air bags go off. Well what about the side airbags. My wife has whip lash and a sore head where she hit the door glass. I feel the car is not a safe vehicle. The frontend of the car was complete destroyed along with the left side of the vehicle. If you have to have a head on collision to make the airbags go off, then why put airbags in the side of the vehicle.

Decent, would never lease again though
Honestly terrible in the winter, especially living in Buffalo. Traction was poor, tires it came with were bald after 1 year with just basic driving, it doesn't accelerate well at all, both key fobs died after 2 years and the dealership wanted me to pay to have the battery replaced.... even while i was still under warranty. only great thing i can say is very gas efficient.
