Tranmission went out at 84000 miles. $4,000 to replace and that's what the car is worth at that point. That's why the warranty is only 60,000 miles. Bluetooth quit working after a year. Speakers went in and out right after and they wouldn't fix it. Don't be fooled, cheap car that won't last.

This was my second Nissan Sentra SR. I previously owned a 2013 (first model year for this style. I loved both cars and both were leases. The 2015 had exactly the same options as my 2013. I had one recall on the 2013 and one recall on the 2015. Both were repaired by the dealer free. Aside from that I had ZERO issues withe either car. The 2015 was a more refined vehicle than the 2013. I see lots of reviews regarding engine/transmission issues although I only had 30,000 miles on either. Aside from that I had ZERO issues with either vehicles. Based on my experience, I would recommend and purchase the vehicle again. And I did. I now have a 2019 Nissan Sentra SR.

the car has a poor suspension system, when a passenger moves around in back seat the whole car shakes, going over minor bumps you feel them. the transmission hesitates too much, it is not smooth at all, when shifting the gears you hear a clunking noise on an incline an on level surfaces, was told by factory auth rep. that this is normal, it sure sounds weird. Very poor axceleration. This car was new when i bought it in March /2016

CVT gone with 22,545 miles 2015 (bought 2016Aug31)

CVT is MAJOR weakness. Bought and serviced from Nissan in Halifax Nova Scotiawith 53kilometers on it (31miles) on AUG31 2016. Rust proofed every year, serviced, always serviced at Nissan and not a scratch on car. Hardly used. BUT CVT COMPLETELY gave out Xmas week on way to airport in Moncton from Halifax NS on trans Canada highway. Car was bucking and reving and almost stopping and then speeding up making all kinds of noises. Left me in tears as I would haul over and let transport trucks whiz by. I was 7 1/2 months pregnant and truly terrorized at the time.. I made the flight and made it home to northern Labrador thank god for the first time in 3 years. The car was dropped off at Rallye Nissan and thankfully transmission replaced just before closing the last business day before Xmas or I would have been in a bind the following week returning home. HOWEVER at a cost of $6650taxes inc… There was a class action lawsuit re these transmissions settled in 2022. Nissan extended the CVT warranty 2 years for total of 7yrs or 140000kms.. I called customer service head office. Spoke to rep. Waste of time. Supervisor called next day. Waste of time.. I explained I bought the Sentra on AUG31, 2016 from a Halifax Nissan dealer and It had 53 Km on the odometer (31miles).. They replied the car was registered in Feb 2015 as a demo?? But who or what dealer keeps a car 18 months and only puts 31miles on it?? Regardless their reply was that the warranty extension was up. 7 yrs from Feb 2015 so too bad.. I told her that the car was bought from Nissan AUG31,2016 with 31 miles on it and that the transmission should not be gone yet and that they should have at least paid for the parts. No luck. Not very good way to treat customers . . Live and learn…cheap cars. Cheap quality and terrible customer service. Just reading off a training manual at a call Center it seemed. Live and learn..merry Christmas Nissan canada
