Owning my Nissan Sentra Se R

I bought my car brand new in 2002. Oil changes were done every 5,000 miles. I did have some trouble with the way the alternator was wired, and also trouble with a sensor. The car would not move when stepping on the gas, even while driving. The emission control needed replaced, but was just under an 8 yr. warranty. I drove the car until 2010 and my daughter drives it now.

This is my first six speed, it took a minute to get used to it...but now i don't ever want to go back to a five speed..i love banging all those gears! My first test drive of this vehicle convinced me to buy one...I raced a 2000 civic Si on the freeway and blew it's doors off!

Sentra has many benefits over other cars of its class including Civics, Corollas,& Focus. For the same if not more features the price is much lower. I also haven't had to do any major maintenance. It is also much better powered and performs better than the Ford Passing on highways is extremely easy for a car of its size & you can barely hear the engine while acceleating.Shifting is very smooth as is the ride for a car of its size Only two complaints. One,front driving seats are a bit uncomfortable & gas mileage is not as good as Corolla or Civic.Only 28 in the city & 32 on highway.

This car has a lot more torque than other small cars in the same price range - and that's what makes it a very fun car to drive. The manual transmission is a bit notchy, the interior materials arean't of the highest quality, and the red-colored instrument panel is tough to see sometimes.... But you need to remember that this is baiscally a cheap economy car with a big engine dropped in it. If you take it for what it is, it's a great car. I've been averaging 28 mpg with mostly highway driving - not great for a small car, but there is a lot more bottom end on this engine than on a Civic or Corolla engine, so you are trading mpg for torque.
