Nice Reliable Car
Car has been passed down from two older siblings. Been a fairly reliable car over the past 10 years. Fixed quite a bit of everything; but once fixed, car was great. Although it is no beauty, car has attracted the attention of many when it failed in the middle of the road 3x because of gasoline pump problem. Overall, really like the car despite its flaws, no sarcasm intended.
Still Loved 12 Years Later
I bought the car at about 2 years old, and was slightly nervous about a car with 47K miles, even if they were from an all-highway commute. Now almost 100,000 miles later the engine still runs silky smooth. I might expect this if I had had to do major repairs along the way, but I haven't. Never needed anything but oil changes, 30,000m scheduled tune-up, and new tires. Interior dash and controls still look and feel new at 12 years old (I did maintain with Armor All).
Great car; a rare find
This car is great. It has great performance, needs low maintenance, and will last forever no matter how you drive it. Mine has 220k miles, doesn't use any oil, and can make up to 44mpg on the highway. I had to replace 5th gear on the trans recently, but I guess something has to give on a car this great.
The quintessential pocket rocket
I bought this car used after reading about in Car & Driver and Motor Trend. I runs the 1/4 in less than 16 sec. and still gets over 30 mpg. The SR20DE engine is what sets it apart. It idles smoothly yet redlines @ 7500 rpm, and unlike Honda engines, it has torque! Looks like your typical Sentra, which means it's great for surprising people at stoplights. I love it!
I love my Nissan Sentra
This car is incredibly reliable. My wife bought it in 1999 with 72,000 miles. Now, in 2006, it has 190,000 miles and still runs like a charm. The gas mileage is incredible, and although it's not exactly sporty, the engine is strong enough to do what you need. Of course, the rear seating is small, but it's fine for car seats.
Very reliable car
I've had this car for more than six years and it has always been reliable. It's not the prettiest (or the ugliest) car on the road but for the price its great. I bought it when I didn't have alot of many for anything fancy. Now I could afford something else but I just can't get rid of it. It runs great, looks good. It's hard to justify getting another car (especially anything other than a Nissan).
Had to get another
Got the car with 56K miles on it. When it had 135K, I bought the wife a brand new car, but she insisted on driving this one for another 2 years! Peppy, very manueverable, easy on gas and maintenance. Finally sold it at 210K miles to a coworker who loves the car. He has 246K on it now! It's the Timex of cars!
Dependable
Purchased my Sentra in 2006 and have owned it ever since. She's always been good to me and I've made sure to keep up with the maintenance. The only major work I've had to do is the CV axles and the exhaust...which were a bit pricey but other than that it's been good and the parts are cheap and the car is easy to work on. I live in the Austin area so inspection and emissions tests are required. My car's always passed wonderfully, so there's never been any expensive emissions problems like that.
mileage
I bought my Sentra as a demo, with less than 6000 miles on it. We have used it as a commuter car since day one. It has over 250000 miles on it and burns no oil. It also gets over 40mpg. The clutch, alternator and struts were replaced. I was thinking of selling it, but then I woke up... I think this little car will last another couple hundred thousand, so I will keep it, thank you very much.
love this car even after 12 years
I bought this car for its value, but it has been extreamly dependable even with its 180,000 miles. Any time I have had a repair or maintenance mechanics can't belive I still have orginal parts. I will most definitaly stick with the sentra even when buying a new care in the next year.
