Love99Pathfinder
Fabulous SUV! Purchased it used at 22k miles. Have had no problems in the 2 years we have owned it.
Great Truck--Great Vallue
Highly recommend this vehicle. Good construction and strong value. Plan to keep this truck for until its wheels fall off, which will probably be 7 yrs + from now.

Old
I bought my Nissan Pathfinder two year old. It's now almost 2005 and I still have not had many proglems wiht it. The most major issue to me is the seat has just started ripping from normal wear. Overall this has been a great truck. When I do get a new vehicle I hope to purchase a Pathfinder again. They're awesome.
1st SUV
Bought this Nissan used in early 2002 with 42000 miles on vehicle. Had only one unscheduled maintenance problem, a computer chip in the polution controls, (check engine light stayed on). Have used for all types of occasions including some medium towing 3500-4000 lbs. It did and excellent job towing. At 7100 miles invested in a set in Michelins LT tires. Its like buying a new car for under$500. Milage has improved about 1 MPG.
OK Vehicle
I have overall been happy with my vehicle. Fuel economy is poor and HP is low, but it is fairly comfortable and has been reliable. My only mechanical problem has been a check engine light that read out as an oxygen sensor failure.
1999 Nissan Pathfinder SE 4WD
This is my 2nd Pathy - I LOVE 'EM!!! Best SUV for the money - not too big but not a "sport cute" either. Will pass anything on the road except a gas station - fuel economy is awful. But that's not why you drive this vehicle. The 4WD is stong and generates plenty of torque (even in the high range). OEM tires(BRIDGESTONE)don't last. Really should have 16" wheels from factory with better rubber.
Awesome SUV!
All I have got to say is that this is an awesome SUV! Bought this car 4 years ago and my wife and I still love it. Nothing like the Acura MDX that we have, but this is the next best SUV besides the MDX!
Great Vehicle
50k and never so much as a squeak. Great comfortable transportation. Don't tell my kids that the tube side steps are no good they use them everyday to get in and I use them to wash the roof and load the car top carrier.
1999 Nissan Pathfinder SE
This is a great 4 wheel drive. I owned a 1993 Pathfinder and stepped up to the 1999. The vehicle runs smoothly and the interior is comfortable and convenient. The off road capabilities are exceptional considering that this vehicle drives and rides like a car.
Oustanding SUV!!!
I owned a Ford Explorer a couple of years ago and thought "if this is what SUV's are like, I don't want one", but after some prodding by my wife we started looking and found this one. It has been an absolute joy to drive. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone.
If you need an SUV this is the one!
This is my first SUV but likely my last. While this may sound like the start of a negative review, it actually isn't. I really don't need an SUV, I don't have anything to tow around and despite it being amazing in the winter it's just not a neccessity. The truth is, I got caught up with the whole yuppy craze with getting an SUV. I am really disappointed with the fuel mileage that this type of vehicle gets. I knew it would be worse than a typical car but I think 15mpg is just unexceptable. The reliability and comfort of this vehicle are fantastic. I looked at all the competition and this is the one to get, if you really need to have one!
Sassy Ride
This car handles exceptionally well, which has made accident avoidance necessary several times. Just went down a ravine and I believe the make, handling, stability and overall safety standards saved my life.

I call it my Eddie BauerOf rides
This vehicle is the second time I’ve owned one and they last many years and go many miles with just normal maintenance. Right now I’ve had my pathfinder 19 years and luckily not once has it left me stranded anywhere. Also if you live up north and have to deal with snow when ice the Pathfinder is the best vehicle to handle snow when ice.never got stuck in the snow at any time no matter how deep the snow was and one time it was 18 inches deep and I was the only driver in town on the road because Pathfinders have strong four-wheel-drive in excellent handling and all kind of weather.my pathfinder has 174500 miles on it & runs and excellent and if and when this car stops running and I have to buy a new one it will definitely be another Pathfinder . you can get great deals at some dealerships on all Pathfinders and it’s definitely worth it and you’ll see the money in the long run because you’ll have your pathfinder for many many years and no payments after you buy your pathfinder . I moved to Florida from New Jersey and my pathfinder still drives like it did in 2002 when I first got it off the original owner I had a dealership. I just installed a trailer hitch to my Pathfinder and now it’s making me money delivering furniture with it . Really I think it is a very reliable SUV and I honestly can’t say much about any of the others because when you own a pathfinder there’s no need to look around you’ll be totally happy with your pathfinder . Good luck. Danny Cog’s.

From a car seat to to a college graduate!
We bought our ‘99 Pathfinder when my son was in a car seat. He is now 22 and the car is still running great!
300k....
Bought my pathfinder from a family friend with 140 on it. As soon as I bought it, I replaced the timing belt, and water pump. In the time I’ve owned it, Ive had to replace the distributor, the radiator, and a cv axle. Today the truck has 295k miles, and I’m installing it’s 3RD timing belt. It is still fully functional. Every component works. 4wd still works great.. automatic trans shifts great. Engine purrs, other than a little lifter tap. The engine, transmission, rear end & transfer case are all original. Never been rebuilt. It leaks some oil. The leather seats are torn, and it rides kinda rough, but the suspension is all factory, and the thing has 300k miles, so whatever. Overall, probably the best vehicle I’ve ever owned. N
400000 km and still going with new (crazy) owner
I have just bought my first pathy, In Australia It is known as a Ti variant ( I think it was the highest spec sold down under) It has a 2 inch lift with over sized all terrain tyres (Aftermarket). Engine and running gear are in perfect condition, the body is rust free except for the drivers side mirror. but the shockies and struts are absolutely shagged. They are the original factory units. It will cost less than AU $600 to repair it to better than factory specs (parts only - I will be the grease monkey). Carpets are tired, but everything else is perfect. Even the factory sunroof still works, without leaks - and I am sure it has never been serviced, the grease was almost solidified on the tracks. For those looking for a cheap offroader grap one of these. they are reasonably cheap to repair and are just as capable as its bigger cousin the Patrol with just a few modifications. The pathy is one of the most underated 4x4's out there. It is more than capable of going off road, easy to park in shopping centres and a fun car to drive. The engine is a little thirsty and underpowered but if you back off a little and enjoy the scenery everything improves. The car is going to be set up to explore the centre of Australia and will be going where no sane vehicle should ever be going (imagine a red stone moonscape, loose. shifting sand dunes and gleaming white salt lakes that seem to go on forever, no plants over 4 foot high, but kangaroos that stand over 6 feet tall, a minimum temperature of 113f in the shade - summer temps, also throw complete isolation into the mix (no one else around for 200 miles plus) and no blacktop roads.) A very unforgiving environment. The Pathy will be perfect.
