Best Little Red Car Ever

Only repair was Air Conditioning & 3 fuel injectors in 12 years and 175000 miles. By far the peppiest 4 I've ever encountered. Top speed unbelievable. Economy from 25-35 mpg depending on. 30-35mpg @ 70mph on interstate. Doesn't use any oil. For an old retired guy, this is the best and most enjoyable car I've ever owned.

12 years old and still a blast to drive.

Handling is first rate; this is a 2+1/2 passenger go-cart. Performance is pretty contemporary, 0-60 in 6.8 seconds if you can afford a new clutch every year and 7.4 seconds for the rest of us. Expect to get about 20 mpg in the city, 28mpg in mixed driving. The car is very pleasant to drive at highway speeds. Engine noise is muted and the car tracks beautifully. Seats are comfortable for two; consider the back seat for small kids only. Plenty of cargo room with the seat folded. Interior fabrics are look cheap and wear quickly. Radio stinks.

Excellent car -- fun and practical

This car is great. It is fun to drive (peppy thrust, good cornering, t-tops) and practical (hatchback for hauling bikes, very reliable, good gas mileage).

I have had excellent reliability with this car. I have over 250K miles and I am still on the same clutch. I am pushing 11 years with this car, but the thing will not die.

The baby skyline

When I purchased this car I loved it. It needed a few new parts to get it running but when I got it running I absolutely loved it. The NX given the B13 chassis and the SE-R sport suspension made this a fun car to drive. The sound of the exhaust just gets my adrenaline pumping. It's been referred to as the baby skyline because of the potential that the engine and chassis have just like the skyline. Already great, well balanced car with even more room for improvements. I absolutely love my car. I have been rebuilding it for about a year now turning it into a good looking tuner street car. You will be hard pressed to find a more fun car to drive

Bought this car for my son a couple years ago, and since he has left I have been driving it. I did not pay much for it, and other than clutches, (2 in 55,000 miles, while being driven by a ticket magnet) it has been quite reliable. With the top off on a twisty mountain road, it is more fun than just about anything I have driven. Both fast and quick. Radio sucks, lots of the plastic is really starting to look bad, but for 2300 bucks, what do you want?

City Rocket

Had this car for a little over a year now and it's been nothing but fun and reliable. Aside from the Ttop seals leaking, this machine is SOLID. Super fast city car. If a quick commute across the city at 80-90km/h is what you're in for, consider this about as necessary as any modern sport compact. Only majors needed since purchase were fuel pump and struts. Handles like my old 914 at high speeds! Good luck fitting anyone in the back. If you're 6', don't bother. It's a clipper ship in a bottle. New rims(17's), tires, chip it, exhaust and stereo = blow 95civis off the road. o_O

Bought new, still driving

Bought car new in 1991 to drive to work. Good acceleration, great handling, interior space is limited but what do you expect? MPG are in the low twenties but depends on how hard you drive it. No rust. The only problem is the struts to the hatchback, after two pair I use a broom. Its not like I use it for a truck.

With a curb weight of around 2300, a 2litre motor makes this car go fast. Add some performance into the suspension, and this car will go fast around the bends too. Fun to drive and unique, avoid the automatic tranny to keep it real.

I am very pleased with this car. Ihave used this review site with others to purchace a fine sports car. I bought it 1 month ago and I still look forward to driving it whenever i can. The layout of the interior is really good and seems to be very durable. The reaserch i made found that they are very reliable and even with 230,000 kms on it it is still using its origional clutch. This car is rare and if your looking for one get it inspected and have the history check by somthing like carfax.com. I found that most of these car are rip offs. It is an old rare popular inexpensive sports car and of course you will run into odomiter roll backs and abused cars.

Nissan NX 1600

This is the best car I've ever had. I purchased it new, and it has never given me any trouble. It has low milage, and I've maintained it well, but I believe it would be a good car had I put many, many more annual miles on it. It handles very well in city traffic and is a dream to drive on the highway. I a drive across the country two years ago, I never got tired or stiff while driving.

My Yellow T Top

Bought the Ttop on sight in '92 as a true sports (not muscle) car and discovered it was also a practical hatch back that let me carry almost anything up to 8 ft in length and three feet wide. MPG 30 in town driving. Speed adequate. Low engine noise in 5th gear from 35mph to XX mph. Handles great, parks great, feels great. Lots of fun. I am replacing it piece by piece. There is nothing even close now being built.

I've had my car for two years and it's got 157,000 miles on it. I have had to replace a lot of things with this car. Only on the body, though...never anything dealing with the engine. It starts up great all the time!

I've only own this car for a few months but i can help having a stupid grin on my face when i get out of it, I love the car its very reliable it just made it quater mill in mileage but it runs as if it was bought last week, the legendary SR20de engine is a perfect match for this car great on gas even with my lead foot on it just hard to find aftermarket parts for it. 3 words: "not selling it." when people ask what kinda car is it they ask whats that? i hope i can give it to my kids.

I've been driving this car for about a year now. 135,000 miles put on it and it still drives great! This is just fun to drive plain and simple. It still drove even in the worst of conditions. It is built well for it being an economy car from the early 1990s. The T tops are AWESOME on this thing. An all around solid car from Nissan. They really don't make a car today that comes close to this thing. It seems even more fashionable now than when it first came on the market. Other than the fact that it rusts easily and has about 135,000 miles on it, it's still a great car and I hope to keep it around for awhile longer !!
