Love the styling, comfort, power. The room is sufficient for daily Dad Duties, including coaching. Mileage is not up to rating, but not by much. Leg room is critical, and ample.

The Murano is really a sports car in disguise and is fun to drive and all the people that have never seen one up close will stop and ask about it and want to know all about it. The only thing that my wife has found wrong is that with all the bells and whistles is that there is no way to open the hatch from the driver's seat.

Very flexible fun to drive, great handling, quiet. Not sure why editors think the ride is harsh. It's just tight, but not uncomfortable at all. Gas mileage on first tank hovering around 21mpg. Interior lighting is poorly designed; both dashlight britness too high and coutesy lights lack britness and footwell illumination.

I traded in a Pathfinder for my Nissan Murano and am very impressed with the quality of Nissan vehicles. I previously helped my Mother buy a Nissan Murano a year ago. We liked it so much that I bought the exact same model (but with AWD) and even the same color this year. I love driving my Murano and get complements on it all the time.

I've really enjoyed the look, handling and ease of use with this vehicle. I enjoy everything from the rounded look of the car, to the smart styling inside. Everything is within easy reach for stereo use, to glove box. This is a very reliable mode of transportation, and I'm proud to be a Nissan owner again.

First off, about the 'sluggish, power- sapping CVT'.It isn't.This SUV is very lively.Put your foot down and the RPMs go to peak power, and stay there as the CVT constantly adjusts ratio to maximize acceleration. Motor Trend says "The Murano consistently took 0-60 mph and 1/4 mi acceleration honors." Believe it. There is more road noise than I would like, but otherwise driving dynamics are great.Interior space is fantastic, materials are pleasant to look at and touch. The large dash expanse (a result of the windshield rake) screams 'mini-van!',but otherwise the cockpit is great.I have the base model, and it includes everything I want.

I spent a few months reading reviews, comparing vehicles, and doing research on this and other crossover autos. I picked the Murano SE AWD (loaded) because it was the best value of them all. Good price, great ride and handling (down to the thick steering wheel), great comfort (heated seats & mirrors, auto everything, reclining rear seats), best rated engine many years running (same V-6 Nissan uses across its platforms, ITS BULLETPROOF). Most of the negative things I read were about ride, milage and CVT performace. Ride is stiff like a SE should be, gas Milage average for my first year was 17.9, and CVT is smooth (but different so that scares people). I now prefer CVT over a standard auto

The Murano is a beautifully designed vehicle, inside and out. I get compliments on the design and color very often. After owning a Grand Cherokee with some disappointments, I am truly impressed with the Murano's handling, comfort and style. I'm very happy I purchased the SE model and am equally happy I didn't get suckered for the expensive options. I got a great crossover vehicle for a great value.

Just bought it, so the Reliability score is meaningless. It's fun to drive though, and doesn't feel like an SUV. The SE's 6 speed "manual" shift option gives you more control of performance in that you can use the shifter rather than the gas pedal to control the RPM. The gas mileage is great for an SUV, but the rated 20 city will be hard to achieve - with spirited driving you'll easily fall as low as 16-17.

This is a great suv and I really don't have anything bad to say about it. It's very sporty so it may not be for everyone, but its a heck of alot of fun to drive and its very roomy inside. Unlike what Edmunds says, the CVT transmission does not detract from any performance. I wonder if they really tested this model. I personally compared the performance to other Nissan cars with the 3.5 (Alitma & Maxima) and found that considering the weight difference it was about the same, but the CVT was alot smoother.

Choices: FWD or AWD, SE or SL, Color? Leather/Audio package? Sunroof? In the end, I got the base FWD SL in the glittery Pearl White with the wheels chromed for a little more pizazz. It is an awesome ride & handles nicely. The CVT transmission takes a little getting used to at a slower speed, but the "sport/second" feature makes up for any lagging at slower speeds. It is a head turner as well. Built on the Maxima platform with that award winning 3.5L V6 engine, with the chrome flash of the assertive front grill and door handles, plus my added chrome wheels, you might actually notice me driving around Orange County sometime.

Excellent total package, and the good thing is it doesn't look like all the other two-box SUVs. I don't know why Edmunds says the CVT saps power. This veh is very peppy; Car & Driver described the CVT as making the V-6 perform like a V-8 and I agree. Flawless fit & finish, everything works, handles well. In recent snows, AWD is seamless,ie, it's there doing its intended thing without bringing attention to itself. No complaints at all.

My experience with the Murano has been of superior quality. It responds very well on the road, very stong engine, beautiful interiors, a very ultra modern design, top of the line accessories, includes a bose radio system! That is great. For the proce, nissan could have added a complimentary oil change and some other features, but overall, my rating is a 10!...murano is the car of my dreams.

This vehicle has had nothing but regular maintenance for 30k miles. Compared to my previous vehicles (Audi A4, Porsche 944) maintenance costs are insignificant. The seats are roomy and comfortable, although I prefer a more snug fit. Overall quality is excellent. My combined city/highway mileage is about 20mpg - not great but tolerable.

If you like the height of a SUV but the comfort of a car then the Murano is right for you! It is on a car chasis and drives like a car. The Murano is very open and spacious. It has more leg room in the 2nd row than most cars do! Plus theres tons of cargo room. Everything from the Leather to the Bose stereo to the dual climate control is of the highest quality. Plus it is so fun to drive! You have a huge engine but you still get excellent gas mileage. Plus this is the first time I haven't been afraid to drive in the rain. The Murano has VDC and traction control to keep you going in all weather conditions.

Very comfortable cabin. Seats are very comfortable. Auto climate control is one of the best I have used. Dashboard has a couple of rattles, but no other quality issues have come up. Has great midrange power...accelerating from 40 to 60, etc. Off the line acceleration is fine, but average. This car has great ability to haul passengers and cargo. It is very versatile and just plain comfortable. I originally wanted a Dodge Magnum with the big motor. Although I still wish I had the big motor, this car does too many things "right" for me to look back now. I am very happy with my selection. Also looked at the Saturn VUE, but it is really not in the same league as the Murano.

Initially when the Murano came out, I didn't think much of it, I thought it looked like a spaceship. Then I started to shop around for an SUV, wanted to stay below $40k. My choices were down to Pilot and Murano after test driving these vehicles. I liked the Murano and Nissan was mroe flexible with the pricing then Honda. Honda weren't budging with the price on the Pilot, and plus I don't have a family, so I have no need for the third row seat. I love the Murano SE AWD, esp the 18 inch wheels & the bright HID lights

this is a fun vehicle to own and drive.... the 3.5 litre v-6 is smooth and powerful .... the cvt transmission is seamless and efficient.... averaging 20 mpg for a mix of driving.... the murano is tight handler on the twisties as well as a smooth boulevard cruiser.... the interior fit and finish is excellent, as is the bose soundsystem ... legroom and headroom both front and rear are generous....this vehicle almost always attracts positive and admiring comments during gas station fill-ups...there were no flaws in the paint or interior when delivered, and the dealership did a top quality job of selling and delivering the vehicle... a great buying experience

Bought 6 Mo. ago, Love the car, no problems, I use regular gas, Avg. about 20 M.P.G., highest on the Hyw, was 24.7, From other reviews here, I noticed some people do not read the owners book, before they complain about things, like "the seat gets caught on the seat belts when folding them down!" (There are clips to hold the belts out of the way!!}, Reading the book solves a lot of knit picking. If you like the car GO FOR IT. I never looked back!!!! I added the wood interior, people really like the class look of it.

Great driving SUV. The transmission is awesome. I've added Stainless step bars to hide the exhaust better. Really helps the looks. Fuel economy is around 18. Best has been 22. Very roomy in the back seat and the recline feature makes it seem bigger. No problems through 4500 miles. Do have a noise in the front end. It pops when changing directions with the wheels slighlty turned (i.e. backing out of a parking spot). One major complaint is the headlight swith located on the turn signal. I've accidentally turned the lights off when signally to turn right. One click and they are out.

This was my first brand new car and I love it. Smooth, comfortable ride. Looks great, handles well, big and versatile enough to haul plenty of gear but luxurious enough to look great while doing it. I actually get 22 mpg by doing mostly highway driving, but accelerating slower than I used to - it's actually made me a better driver - the mpg declines sharply over 70 mph. This car has everything I was looking for. It handles like a nice car, rides high, smooth, comfortable interior, great extras. I can't say enough.

I test drove many SUV's and nothing compared to the Murano. I see that they rank down the 1 speed transmission. However, even though it takes some getting used to because your waiting for it to shift, it gets up and moves. Especially, on the freeway. I've owned many cars in my life, but never a car like this. I LOVE MY MURANO :)

What caught my eye was it's exterior appearance. I was sold when I got into it and test drove it. I've had it for almost 1 year and I love it. We also own a 2002 Cadillac Deville DHS which we love. The Murano although much higher is almost an equal to our Caddy on the highway. Road handling is great, the acceleration is wonderful, it's comfortable, it has very good cargo space. It's easy to get in & out, has great features.

Bose stereo is the icing on the cake! Rides like a dream and handles better than most cars I've had or driven, which are many. BMW X5 was my first choice, but for the money, I would buy a Murano any day!

I Love my Murano! Lovely to look at and great to drive. There is a lot of commentary regarding the CVT, but I like it. I get plenty of power for merging and passing, so I don't understand the nay sayers. The vehicle is wonderfully appointed and very luxurious. I have all the options except 4 wheel drive. (This city girl will never need it!) Perhaps if I were to change anything, I might put in a 3rd seat, but then it would be a minivan! I have plenty of room for groceries etc. No complaints from me! I just love this car!

I have owned this Murano now almost 1 year and I must say I have had trouble! the interior back door panels had to be stuffed with foam @ the dealer to prevent rattle noise. The car has had 1 recall (altenator) and now just today I had a breakdown defective transmission. I probably will not see my car for a week, but I guess that can be a good thing. What else can go wrong? I will be going back to Honda or Toyota maybe even American. When this car drives it is nice, I like to say it feels like riding on glass, and it is comfortable but I do not tolerate breakdowns. Good luck I hope my narrative helps.
