I've had this car for 13 years now, and it still runs great with 112k miles on it. This car is extremely reliable, it has never had any issues. It starts up everytime. Regular Maintenance is easy, as I do most of the work myself. It's actually easier to work on than Toyotas and Hondas. It handles very well on turns, gas mileage is great, and it has plenty of pop for a small engine. Overall, the best and most reliable car I've owned.

I bought my GT-SE two years ago with less than 40k miles on it for less than $9,000. Not bad in my opinion for a car that originally sold for 30k. Currently it’s at 57k. Great power and torque. I drive it hard and use that 263 HP and 260lbs of twerks. When the MIVEC opens up those exhaust valves at around 3500 RPM you can definitely feel it and hear it. Especially with my K&N short ram intake. Lowering with springs or coil overs really helps with the looks and handling. Adding a stiffer rear sway bar also helps with the understear. The turning radius really does suck though. The factory Rockford Fosgate stereo is great to have. The rear wing makes seeing clearly out of the rear window impossible but in my opinion the eclipse looks terrible without it. For most of my ownership I have a recurring check engine light for a bad O2 sensor or catalytic converter but i put a new sensor in every year before inspection and it keeps the light off long enough to pass. Performance isn’t affected by whatever the problem is thus far. In mixed driving I get 23 MPG. Not great considering you need premium fuel in the V6. But the performance is good enough for me to ignore the fuel cost. If these cars were 500 pounds lighter they’d be incredible. Very roomy for the driver and passenger in front. The rear seats are useless for anyone over 5’3. These cars are known to have a rattle coming from the clutch. Mine started doing it at around 50k miles. My mechanic told me to let it go. From what i read it’s clutch disk springs? The noise goes away when the peddle is depressed. Doesn’t affect shifting as of yet. I know it may sound like there’s a lot of drawbacks to these cars but it’s fun enough to drive for me that i ignore the not so good stuff. I recommend buying one. And this is coming from someone who’s owned a 2008 Mustang Shelby GT and a 2010 Corvette. I truly enjoy my eclipse almost as much as those cars.

I haven't seen a better combination of performance, looks, and price than the 09 Eclipse GT. It has more hp than the other cars in it's class, looks better (in my opinion), and in many cases is less expensive than other cars that less to offer.

The only negative about this vehicle is that even with the air temp dial at max cool, there is a tremendous amount of warm air coming in through the vent around the petals. I suspect that the outside air duct must run close to the exhaust and they pick up temperature from that and it is the sent into the car. To avoid this I engage the interior circulation mode, which eliminated the air flow. Also, the vehicle does oversteer or plow when making hard turns. It is a very comfortable and enjoyable car for long distance driving.

500 miles so far, like looks, handling, fosgate sound, tires, int looks, DISLIKE noisy engine and interior like there's no sound dampening, maybe that's why they offer the 650 watt stereo! Hate the fact that if you get a flat you can't use flatfix, it will screw up the tire sensors!, and the key thing with the electronic code, it's like they want you to call for help!
