Beware of this car
Constantly in the shop. Sensors, recalls, tires, oil changes, etc are very expensive and constant problems. To top it off the brakes squeal when going in reverse. I have had new "fixed" pads installed four times now and they cannot seem to fix the problem. Ask the dealer how many open files they have on the brakes. My dealership has over 100. The run flat tires have a compound that requires replacement every 25,000 miles. $1100 each time. Don't waste your money on this lemon of a car. My new friends who run the service department are great, but stuck with having to charge me for all the repairs. They admit this car is a dud. I have been in touch with Mercedes and they really don't care about my opinions. However, the few times that there is not a problem with the car, it is pleasant to drive. Finally sold the car after 140,000 + miles and constant problems. So happy to be rid of it. Mercedes was never able to get the brakes to stop squealing after so many times in the shop. Mercedes did put a price on customer loyalty. They offered me $1,200 off another new Mercedes (not accounting for the low ball trade in offer, well under blue book). So they value me at about zero!!!

I absolutely LOVE my SUV. Classy, Easy to drive, great on gas. Even though it's 5 years old, it still turns heads.

Expensive Run Flat Tires!
Beware, run flat tires need to be replaced about every 20,000 miles and the ride is not as smooth as regular street tires. Yes, they run 50 miles flat but make sure you are within 50 miles of a big town. Otherwise, you will be towed. Waiting for a tow truck and riding in a tow truck more than 50 miles is not fun. Four times in the 2.5 years I have leased the GLC300, the screen has gone black. The dealership questioned did I know how to turn the screen off or on. After sitting for a few hours the screen came up like nothing ever was wrong. Finally I was within a few minutes of a dealership and the service person agreed the screen would not come on. No back up camera, no radio, no Bluetooth, after three software updates the screen seems to be working. The radio loses the station presets. I've reset the radio stations many times. Now, I just leave all the sirus stations on. Dealership is aware of issue but no software update is available. Will I purchase this vehicle in a few months when the lease is up? Will I lease another GLC300? NO! $1,100.00 for tires will be going back to a dealership on the vehicle soon. I just wish they had told me up front run flat tires only get about 20,000. With a 30,000 mile lease I'm out money for new tires only to put 5,000 at the most on the new tires.

GLC 300 review
I previously owned a C300 4MATIC and decided to upgrade to an SUV. The GLC 300 models had just rolled out, and though I was hesitant to be a guinea pig for this new fleet, I had a good experience with my previous Mercedes and decided to lease as opposed to finance. As many other customers reported, I too had the squeaky brake issue, particularly during winter mornings, and only when the vehicle was in reverse. After the third brake change (still under warranty) the issue subsided for the most part, and I would hear squeaking 5% of the time during the very frigid winter months. My next issue was the car locking system. That could use some work, as I did happen to accidentally lock my keys (which were in my bag), in the vehicle. Thankfully my husband was close by to bring the spare. I’ve also had instances in which my phone charging portals stopped working. The issue seems to be resolved as of now and the dealership could not find any issue. As for the tires, save yourself time and money and replace the Pirelli’s aeound the 20-25K mark. While the run-flats are ideal and will stay inflated for about 10 miles if punctured, but the nearly $500/tire prices is not worth it. These tires are made for racing and replacing after 20K miles, and honestly, who is racing in an SUV? Save yourself the hassle and switch out all 4 tires before the 25K mark. Overall I’ve had my quirks with the GLC 300, but will finance/keep the car once my lease is up. I’ve had no major structural nor mechanical issues with this car, nor my previous Mercedes, and rely on their excellent safety features to keep my family and I safe.

Great except the tires!
I love this little car but the tires are killing me. I had to have all 4 replaced at 20K miles (I'm a 47 year old woman, I don't drive recklessly) and after 10K miles with the new tires I have to replace them again. Each time it's $1200. The Pirelli run flats Mercedes uses are wear way too quickly. I have 9 months left on my lease and as much as I love Mercedes (this was my third car with them) I'll be looking for another brand that doesn't use these ridiculous tires.
