Used 2016 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe Consumer Reviews
Don't know if I would buy again
There are some simple design issues that most auto manufacturers resolved decades ago - for example the parking brake sticks. You have to get on the floor and pull it forward to unstick it. The cup holders are put too close to the console controls. Now that I've hit 80,000 miles I'm being told the head has a leak in it and that I can replace it for $8k or get a new engine for $20k. There should not be this type of engine problem on a car of this supposed quality. This car has below average milage, and has been well cared for. The trade in value is less than $16k. A 2016-17 Accord EXL is worth the same amount of money if not more. The Lexus RC 350, even with high miles is worth $3000+ over the the E400 4matic Coupe. Only buy this car just because you want it. Not because of reliability, or good resale value - As I am partial to coupes, and prefer reliability, and good resale value, my next car will be a Lexus RC 350 -
