Finally a real luxurious E Class

I owned W210, W211 and now this beautiful W212. Bought it CPO in 2017. This is far more luxurious than any older E Class. Quality is top notched. Great trunk space. The non-turbo engine is not only powerful but also fuel efficient. If I don't drive too fast on highway, I can get 30 miles per gallon. Transmission is silky smooth. With finger crossed, it should be a keeper.

This is my third Mercedes and I've had it for a little approx. 1 1/2 years. I bought it with 9,900 miles on it with the remaining warranty of 1 1/2 years left. I also opted for an extended warranty of three years as the vehicle was certified. Over all a great car. The ride is a little tight, which is a little sportier than the sedan, also of my choosing. It weighs in at about 370 lbs. lighter than the sedan, according to Auto Guide. 0-60 is about 4.5 seconds. That's pretty quick for a 3,770 lb. vehicle. Put it in manual and use the paddle shifters and change the suspension to sport, and it changes the ride, and puts a smile on your face. If you can afford one, get one.

Mostly Quite Pleased

I leased this car after a few great years with an E-Class Sedan. It was basically perfect and I had a lot of trepidation about switching to a less practical car. I love my new cabriolet! It's got great steering and handling, a wonderful turn radius and the trim level is terrific. Otherwise, I love putting the top down on any dry day.

Bought this car CPO with 10,000 on it in Spring of 2015. Car went to the shop 5 times the summer of 2016 with an AC problem before Park Place MB of Dallas could ever figure it out even though we provided two videos of the noise. Then there is that glorious MB stench from the AC that happens every summer that takes $200 to remedy (This is the second MB we have owned with the same problem). The navigation is a joke. The internet radio operates with the speed of an AOL dial up connection. The driver's seat started coming apart at the seams at 57,000 miles (CPO would not cover it and the dealer wanted $900 for the repair) [Understandable to a point but when both drivers are under 190 lbs, I take issue with their "wear and tear" claim]. Transmission is jerky. Latest issue was a "catch" in the steering that showed itself when driving down a straight road. Any slight little turn of the wheel was met with resistance and dealer could find no issue. We got rid of this thing! Paid $52,000 for it and traded it for $22,500 just 2.5 years later. Horrible resale value on MB. Will never own another one.

Bought it two months ago. So far so good. Visited dealership due to torn front seat leather. They took care of it without question. Maintenances cost like oil change and stuff are on the high side but expected. All I can say the ride is smooth like driving it on butter, on my luxury not sport version of E class.
