Used 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Consumer Reviews
Happy New Owner
Recently purchased. Car was built in Stuttgart (Sindelfingen) in April '05. The new M272 engine (3.5 ltr V6) is a dream. Together with the 7 speed auto gearbox it has power to spare at any speed. Fuel economy is also good, I guess the 7 speed auto gearbox is one of the mean reasons (at 70 mph only 2100 rpm...) It also has the appearance package with airmatic DC suspension. On the roads around Houston with a lot of uneven road surfaces it just swollows it with ease, while giving excellent cornering capability due to the dynamic control. Really do not need to buy the E500, this car has it all, a dream to drive. This car was built by engineers who succeeded in building one of the finest cars around.
Great car
Lease was up on ML500 and I wanted something with space and fuel economy. With fold down rear seat and large trunk this was the car. I have averaged right at 30mpg and it drives great. Very quiet. Much quieter than my wife's 2005 Audi A8.

Outstanding
We are delighted with our purchase. Picked up in a snow storm; drove for 5 hours in less than pleasant conditions; unually comfortable and very stable in difficult conditions. Quality of workmanship superb.
E320 CDI Rocks
Have owned BWM, Volkswagen, and Volvo vehicles. This MB is by far the best in terms of build qulity, ride, and engineering. This is my first diesel, so I'm hoping for a huge improvement over my current SUV (16 mpg). The design is timeless and the car feels like it will go hundreds of thousands of miles.
First Mercedes after a BMW 3-series
The Mercedes E350 wasn't my first choice for a midsize car. After driving a BMW 3-series for 6 yrs, my obvious choice was a 5-series. The 5-series design is ugly and I-drive is terrible, car was more nimble and fun to drive than an E350. Definitely a beautiful car that turns people's heads.
