2 years of fun
I bought this car as a fun toy, it has delivered. Totally impractical, knew that going in. I don't like the white on black instrument panel. Hard to see especially in bright sun. I've owned a Corvette, fun to drive but low quality, A hot Mustang convertible, and a Honda hatchback, an excellent car. I've had no problems with the Mazda. I rarely push it hard. It has good acceleration, a beautiful clutch and transmission, rag top works great, doesn't leak. I go top down when ever weather permits. I usually put regular gas in, it doesn't complain, great mileage. I wish it had a bit more interior storage. Has a beautiful red paint job. It is my daily drive but I also have access to a more practical car.

Love my summer car
Was looking for a summer fun car and this more than fits the bill. It handles very well and acceleration is great considering the engine size and fuel economy. It is stored during the winter months so I cannot say how it functions in the winter. At my height, 5'10", it fits me very well and is comfortable for hours when driving any distance. My only complaint is the navigation system is not as user friendly as I would like., but then I drove for a lot of years without any navigation system using only road maps so it is not a deal breaker for me. Overall I have to say I honestly love driving this car and hope to put many miles over each summer on it. 2020 Now entering my 3rd summer with this car and I still love driving it. it's great for road trips and weekend drives, and once restrictions end my MX-5 and i will be back on the roads.

One Month old review for 2016 Miata
Just have the car for a month. Very fun car to drive. Great handling in turns and good pick up for a 4 cylinder car. Will have more info to provide later.

The worst car I ever had!
I bought the brand new 2016 MX-5 Club manual based on my several test drives. In about 2 weeks, the vehicle developed a terrible rattle with the top up. Several trips to the dealer (awful experience) resulted in more noise and vibrations. The car felt used with only 700 miles on the odometer. This is not a car foe people who value quality and craftsmanship, this is a joke. I sold it at a huge loss in a about a month and I will NEVER shop Mazda again.

A little more than I wanted to pay but worth it.

Immensely fun
Acceleration and cornering make this an amazingly fun car to drive. It is totally impractical as far as storage is concerned: no glove box or door slots for maps, trunk will hold one carry on and a small tote bag. But who cares? Zoom, zoom. I love the blind spot monitoring and rear warnings of cars behind when backing up. It's comfort is tops. I love it more and more as I drive it.

Hard to beat
This is my 5th Miata having owned only Miatas since they came out in 1990. And each one is better than the one before. Design wise this is probably the most beautiful Miata. Mazda has always had some outstanding colors for the Miata and the soul red (which I have) is probably as pretty a red as I have ever seen on a sports car. If you want a good idea how great this car is look at the August, 2016 edition of Road & Track. The Miata is featured on the cover with the Ferrari 488 Spyder which is a 300 thousand dollar car. In the article it talks about the two cars almost as being equals in terms of subjective satisfaction. And this is just a 30 thousand dollar car! I also should mention that Miatas have exceptional reliability with almost nothing going wrong mechanically. On the 2016 model I really appreciate the upgraded entertainment center with Bluetooth and HD radio as well as a navigation system. I also find the blind spot monitoring to be an excellent safety feature while I find the automatic windshield wipers to be really cool and I've always really liked Bose car stereos. Also I should add that I received something from Mazda saying that the 2016 Miata received both the car of the year and the car design of the year from the international automobile journalists, and no car had ever won both of these in the same year. I can't imagine someone buying a Miata and regretting it.

The Best Trouble-free Fun to Drive Sports Car
Took weight out of previous model (NC); NVH increased, but quicker. Great styling. Fun, exciting to drive near limits. Sticks like glue with quick responsive steering; and shifts like a Porsche Boxster, World-class engine, transmission, suspension, brakes (Brembo). A joy to drive; cheap to own. Reliable: Former 2007 MX5 GT went 85,000+ miles with only oil changes and filters; new set of Continental high perf. tires; and brakes. (NOTE: limited driving due harsh winter in WA and relocation to AZ.)

Retirement fun car
It doesn't have to be a car for the younger driver. I'm 73 and just love driving this roadster. I use it on back roads and highways and have no complaints. To be honest, I give it an OK on comfort. It is a roadster which is built for fun and excitement, not comfort.
Fun to drive
This is my 3rd Miata and it looks really nice and is fun to drive. The way the convertible top folds down is quick and easy, one latch which is operated one handed and can be done while seated in the drivers seat. Only issue I might caution others about is trunk size, my prior vehicles I could put my entire golf bag in, this one does not even allow me to put a 5 iron in.

A Ton of Fun
Car is just a lot of fun to drive. Convertible stick shift. A car driver's dream. Tight fit and not the easiest to get in and out but I am small in stature so it works for me. Glad I bought it

Last of a dying breed
I have always liked the Miata. It offers the charm and fun of a British roadster, but with the reliability of a Camry. It’s a small car that requires some lifestyle adjustments. The trunk is small, but adequate for a car of this size. Interior space is very tight. If you’re over 6ft or a larger person, be warned. However, the fit and finish is very good. The car has a very solid feel overall. Driving the Miata is a blast. It’s short on horsepower, but you’ll hardly notice. And, it handles like a go cart. The manual top can be raised or lowered in a matter of seconds with one hand. With the manual transmission, I avg around 35mpg. In an age where the joy of driving is becoming a thing of the past, this car is a breath of fresh air.

Zoom-Zoom Is So True
Bought a Miata MX-5 on December 26, 2016. It was a great, no hassle, no high-pressure sales experience with sales rep, Ken Baxley; he was a pleasure to work with. And I LOVE THIS CAR!! It is so doggone much fun to drive. This is the second one I've owned, and it's more comfortable and handles even better than the 2007 model I had.

Toad
One of the best cars I ever owned. Fun to drive, fun to have in the garage, fun to look at when bored with looking at my bicycle. However, totally impractical! I have carted groceries, my bike-tent-clothes but then it is full and no passenger is allowed. (no room). It is idiotic that the CD goes in behind the driver, no glove compartment? Impractical. But did I tell you it is fun to drive?
