This car really rocks. Handling is expetional, and the European tuned suspension works really well for me (since I'm European). Seats are extremely comfortable for me, but some might find them to firm. The manual transmission is near to perfect, but the cluch travels a bit too much for my taste. If you plan to buy this car, go for the stick shifter, even if it is a bit more difficult to obtain (dealers usually stock automatic ones). I would buy the same car again. I think this tells everything.

My car has some structural or suspension problems. I have looked at the Mazda/Atenza web site and there is a dicussion board relating to this problem. I have seen no fix for this problem and I myself are continuing to bring to dealer for the search. Now going back for the 3rd all day visit. Next step is to replace both struts. (he did find that the sub frame was loose as some of the connection)Not sure what this means as I am only repeating what he told me. cheers

Just got it and having problems from day one with panic alarm going on and couldn't shut it off. Next day, the horn went out and check engine light went on. Also, had a little squeaking in the brakes. Overall I like the car but I thought with getting a new car be less problems. Thank you. Please reply to me if you had any problems.

Been wanting one of these, but am currently waiting to finish paying off my 99 Miata. I test drove both the Mazda6 s and the "i". The "i" was nice overall, but I think a 4cyl. is just not enough for that car. The "s" was really excellent. The dash on the "s" has the three comfort control knobs with lit rings that look so cool. The "s" also had a lot of power and I found it to be quite speedy. The AT tranny was disappointing, mainly because I've never liked Auto transmissions. The dealership informs me that the 5spd manuals won't be available until Feb where I live, and I told them that without a 5spd manual, I wouldn't even consider buying the car.

Had to trade in my 3rd VW GTI after a little over two years because of repeated reliability issues. I've had the 6 only a week or so, but I have enjoyed it immensely. It handles more crisply than the smaller GTI and, while a little slow off the line, it feels otherwise just as quick the VR6. It is quiet, comfortable, and very good looking in Steel Gray. I had a Miata before the last GTI, and it was a very reliable car; I'm hoping for at least the same with the 6.
