This is my third Mazda 3 hatchback and I really loved my first generation! My 2020 is very similar to my 2006 hatchback. Not too much has changed. Overall I like the vehicle. I have had some issues with the suspension and transmission. They have been covered under warranty, but the vehicle has never driven the same since having repairs done. With all 3 of my mazdas I have experienced suspension issues , so I will say that is something Mazda should work on fixing for future generations because it's really annoying. Also the quality of the paint is poor . I hand wash my vehicle and I still end up with swirling. Other little things are the arm rest ripping prematurely the visors failing and the window switches peeling. The gage cluster plastic scratching every time you clean it. Luckily I don't have any piano black interior, so I don't have to worry about scratches there. Mazdas styling and performance is great and that's what makes the car stand out among the other brands. My only wish is that I had purchased a manual transmission for this year cause that would have made me keep this car a lot longer.
