Perfect for me

I bought the Mazda3 Select. This trim has everything I wanted for tech and safety, including Apple Car Play, lane assist, blind spot assist and cross traffic alert. The only things missing were a sun roof and electric seat adjustment, which would have cost me a couple thousand more. Because I’m the only one driving this car, I really don’t need electric seat adjustment. Normally, I like to have a sun roof because I like to open the sun roof to let out the heat after parking the car in the hot sun. As it turns out, just rolling down the windows of my Mazda3 will suffice, making the sun roof completely unnecessary. This car has plenty of pep with 187hp, and I have absolutely no problem merging into highway traffic. In fact, it quickly attains 80 mph once I’m off the entry ramp, and it has much more in reserve. For more fun, it has a sport mode, which keeps revs up and adds much more pep. While the cargo space is adequate, I do sometimes wish I had more. One complaint noted in the Edmunds review mentioned the AC was less than adequate. I have never had a problem with this. Summer heat here in Phoenix gets over 110F, and within three to five minutes, my AC will keep me cool. I do recommend opening the windows to let out the heat after parking for a long time. I also recommend a windshield cover to keep out most of the sun while you’re parked during grocery runs. One other thing to consider is the infotainment screen. It is not a touch screen. All control is handled with a large mouse like knob and a few buttons on the console. It make take a while to get used to, but overall, I really like it because I don’t have to constantly lean forward to touch the screen. Everything is within easy reach on the console, which makes it much safer and more convenient than a touch screen. Overall, I’m very, very pleased with this car, and I would highly recommend it.

Terrible car and company

Mazda is the absolute worst car company out there. I bought a 2020 Mazda 3 premium hatchback brand new 5 months ago and I've had it in service 6 times now for a variety of problems leading to the most recent my drivers side seatbelt came off and I was stuck from Saturday night till Monday morning with no seatbelt. I brought the car in today to have it serviced and they denied me a loaner but I have had a loaner car the other 5 times I have brought my car in for service. Customer service is terrible it's taken me all day of calling to get ahold of a manger which I still haven't been able to and corporate has only offered to give me egifts in the from of free parts. Save yourself the stress and don't buy a Mazda.

poor pedestrian visibility

A beautiful and well-appointed car: however, viewed from the driver's side, pedestrians coming from the right side are impossible to see until they are almost in front of the vehicle. In addition there is so much "car" on the passenger side that it is only by guesswork that a right turn can be achieved with any degree of accuracy. The curb is invisible until the turn is completed. Not the smartest nor safest design!

This thing takes potholes worse than my 1974 Opel Manta, all my mid 80s trans ams and they road ruff. Wish ride was better...ac blows hot randomly or wont work. Guess ill try to reset system like windows 95.. wish me luck ...other then the transmission being quirky as well its nice. Not a 29k sticker nice.

2020 Mazda 3 Preferred 4dr Hatchback (2.5L 4cyl 6A)

I got Mazda 3 2020 preferred hatch AWD. It’s look nice but quality.... after 5000k miles I have divers door glass like rattling noice. Dashboard noice, sounds like some plastic part got disconnected and now jumping on another plastic part. Steering weal noice, can’t describe. Read door cricking noice. And the main noice is climate control, I believe all mazda 3 2020 are effected. It’s like camera shutter noice that appears randomly and really annoying.
