I really want to like this car more than I do...

I loved this car when I bought it in 2020. It's comfortable, roomy and being the Black Label, it's loaded. It has everything. Almost. What it does not have, is a decent turning radius. I have never had more trouble pulling into a parking space, than I have with this car. My 20-year old Tahoe has a tighter turning radius than this Nautilus! Maybe it's the giant wheels that keep the car from turning sharper, I really don't know. But, it's enough for me to want to seriously consider trading it in. Another issue I am having is the enormous amount of overkill on "convenience" features, that really end up being annoyances. For instance, the variable speed, automatic wipers. Sometimes, there will be just a misting outside, and I turn the wipers on intermittent, but they turn on full speed and will stay on full speed for several cycles. Why can't wipers just be like they've been for the last 40 years: either full on, or intermittent on? I hate the loss of human control with simple systems such as this. I've had a few quirky problems, too: occasionally, the transmission will make hard clunking sounds when shifting from Park into Drive. I've also had the engine and or turbos drop out, when I was accelerating normally from a stoplight. The car actually didn't go for several seconds when I depressed the accelerator pedal. Is that a sign of future problems? I can't help but think Yes. Finally, I had a SERIOUS safety event with it late last year that scared the bageezus out of me: We were traveling on an Interstate, which was flat and dry. No cars in front of me for 1/2 mile or more. I was in the left lane, passing a tractor trailer that was in the lane to the right of me. As I was almost past the truck, the car suddenly did a panic stop from 75 mph, down to about 40 in a matter of seconds, even though there was nothing in front of me. Thank goodness, there was no one directly behind me, or there would have certainly been a MAJOR accident. My guess is, that the truck had cast a shadow into my lane as I was passing it, and the car "read" that as an obstruction. It was insanely dangerous and scary. I reported it to the NHTSA, but no one ever contacted me for any follow up, including Lincoln. I don't know what the target age group is for this car, but as a 55 year old, I feel somewhat overwhelmed at the amount of technology that requires human involvement to either adjust something or use. On the touch screen, you have to swipe 2-3 times over, then click two more times to turn on or off the massaging seats. There are buttons on the side of the seat, but since you can't see them while you are driving, you end up hunting around to adjust them. Why not have some dedicated, tactile buttons on the center console? Conversely, the button to manually retract or extend the side view mirrors, is in a horrible location: directly in front of the driver's power window button on the door. I can't count how many times I have been driving and accidentally folded in the mirrors, instead of rolling down the window. That button should have been to the left of the steering wheel, on the dashboard, away from any other frequently-used buttons. I haven't made a final decision on keeping this car or not, but I'm definitely on the fence. For a $55k car, that shouldn't be a choice I have to make. Update:. I sold the car. Trouble people are apparently having with the transmission, is what pushed me over the edge. I didn't want to get stuck with an expensive repair bill. I like Ford vehicles, bit this one was a miss for me.

I have experienced many of the same continuous transmission and electrical problem as every other reviewer on here. I recently had a far more serious situation that seems to not be alarming to Lincoln. While driving on the highway at night in the dark, I lost all of my interior panels and lighting, a second later I lost my headlights. I was driving in complete darkness at highway speed. The dealership took my car for 5 weeks and reprogrammed everything but no one can tell me this will not happen again. That is a safety issue that should not be negotiable.

Have had our Reserve 2.7L AWD for six weeks; it has all the options except the Ultimate and Lincoln Play. We just returned from a 500-mile trip to western Colo. and back across the continental divide (10,000'+ mt. passes). We towed a boat trailer (just over 3000 lb.) and had our luggage and two E-bikes in back. You can drive up the mountain at any (safe) speed you choose even with the load; it has the power. This is perhaps the quietest vehicle we have had; our other two vehicles are a Jag XF and an Alfa Romeo Giulia (which replaced an Audi and a BMW respectively). We used the massaging 22-way seats on our highway trip; they really work. The backup camera allows me to position our receiver hitch right at the trailer ball when hooking up the trailer. I love all the safety features; they keep you informed without intruding. We drove our first 1000 miles around our home area, suburban driving, getting about 20-21 MPG. We are very pleased with our purchase. Everything appears to be functioning flawlessly. Update: Now at 14 months, we continue to be exceptionally pleased with the Nautilus. We recently completed a 3000-mile trip carrying our e-bikes on a receiver bike rack. We had a chance to use the cruise control which would control not only speed, but steer the car around curves (but not let you take your hands off the wheel) and also manage braking when needed. We love the car. That 2.7 engine has all the power you need. We were running on highways with 80 mph speed limits; even at that speed, if you touch the accelerator you can quickly be in triple digits. Quiet, smooth, powerful. With our trailer hitch and optional roof rack, it is also quite functional. We are now at 17K miles. The Nautilus continues to impress. What can I say further; it does everything right. Drove through heavy snowfall this week; it was like I was looking out the window of our home. Inside the vehicle it was warm and comfortable, tracking well, while outside the snow swirled and the traffic stalled. We traded in our Jag XF for a 2020 Audi SQ5 which is a bit of an SUV sportscar, but the Nautilus has more comfort features and more capacity. Both are excellent choices. Now at 25,000 miles we continue to really enjoy this vehicle. We drove to Washington, DC, and back averaging about 600 miles per day (about 8 hours driving) because all the safety features made driving so effortless. The pushbutton shifter is still not my favorite; I preferred the rotary dial on our Jag. Now at 33,000 miles: The Nautilus continues to be flawless. We drove it on a 5,000-mile trip to the East Coast (DC, VA, NC, SC, GA, Fl) from Colorado. Solid, comfortable, responsive. We had initially leased it, thinking that we may want to get an EV later, but now we have paid off the residual payoff amount and it's a keeper. At 35,000 miles our Nautilus (2.7L V6) continues to please us. Zero problems, and a responsive servicing dealership. We recently drove it to Aspen and back through the mountains in winter. It is our chosen vehicle for long distance trips. In contrast, we consider our Audi SQ5 to be a 'shopping sports car'. At 39,000 miles, our Nautilus has proven to be a trouble-free vehicle. You press the start button, and it's there at your service. Yesterday, I used it to haul lumber. It will fit planks up to not-quite-eleven feet inside without the roof rack Now at 42,000 miles, we again towed our boat through the mountains to western Colorado this past weekend. Smooth and effortless. Everything functions like when it was new (five years later).

I just traded in my 2016 LIncoln MKX and before that a a 2013 Lincoln MKX but the New Lincoln Nautilus is a Phenomenal Car!! Improvements made in every little area you can think of. The ride alone is so much better, it is like riding a car like ride now in Comfort Mode. The Dashboard I Just Love Everything about and just learning still. I like the wireless charging system too. The car is a lot quieter too and a lot more sound insulation, you can tell. The side laminated windows do wonders to suppress the wind noise. I like having WiFi in the car too, I did not have before. The safety features have gotten a lot better too. With evasive steering and lane centering with the adaptive cruise control is impressive, among other items. The Revel Ultima The Sound System is one of the Best I ever Heard. My music sounds new again through the Revel Ultima’s 19 speakers. I did the Black Label Edition this time and Love all the services that come with it. I think it was really worth the price difference. Besides the car itself is just Gorgeous!! I never got so many people stopping me and asking me what kind of car it is and telling me How Much They Love the Nautilus!! I got mine in Rhapsody Blue with the Chalet Interior and the Black Label Wheels, That are Just Stunning!! Thanks Lincoln for Making a Great Vehicle Even Better!! I Guess You can Tell I Love My Nautilus!!

I am sitting in the Lincoln repair center waiting for someone to look at my Nautilus for the fifth time. Center console screen just stops working. Hoping I can claim this car under the lemon law. Don’t buy a Lincoln if you don’t want to spend hours waiting in the repair shop.
