My SC430 is model year 2002...the first year it was introduced. I purchased the SC430 as a retirement gift to myself and drive it every day. It does not sit in the gararge. I have driven it from Virginia to the Florida Keys a few times and have taken many other trips.

This is an excellent vehicle( and the 4th Lexus I have purchased). I also have a LS 430. Fun to drive, powerful engine, great pickup and fast and easy to handle on the Interstates as well as around town.The car attracts attention with its outstanding styling. The sound system is outstanding and the GPS system is almost as good as that in my LS430( unhappily, no live Lexus link, otherwise just as good.)

I love this car!! Can't go anywheer and not get noticed. A true joy to drive and great on long road trips. Very nice design and very fast! I would recommend this car to anyone who needs luxury but has to had performance and looks. This car is a 12.5 out of 10. I wasn't even able to test drive it before I bought it, doesn't that tell you something?

Smooth as silk with a quiet ride and great extra features. The sound system that you can listen to with the top down and the compartment that you can hear your passenger talk with top down.

I love it lexus delivers. It's my toy to get away from the "real world" and have a symphony on the road! It's the volkswagen I always wanted on steroids! An indulgence well worth it 20 yrs marriage 20 years working and 20 minutes and the dealership had me out of there!!!!!

I love the handling of it I owened a 1993 corvette b4 this and I like the SC better. As far as people complaining about the room in the back ,This car is a 2 seater not a family car t6hey only put 4 seats for insurance purpose, Wake up and smell the roses people the car is great.Even with roof down in trunk I still have room for my wifes and my weekend bags.

had always admired the way the car looked. and wondered if it drove as nice as it looked so when i became available i grabbed it. i usually get a new car every 6 months( i'm in the business0 but this ones a keeper

Vehicle seems molds to your body. Ground design and center of gravity stable. 0 to 60 in less than five seconds is dynamic. Quiet interior. Makes you feel like you are in a jet aircraft.

What I have is an '04 Lexus SC430, Pebble Beach Edition, Hardtop Convertible. I bought this car almost 8 years ago and it was a "Condo" car here in Southern Florida. It had 58K on the odometer and was well taken care of also! Now fast forward, again almost 8 years, and after putting over 5K dollars in repairs in this beauty I still LOVE it! The reason the Title was My "Motorcycle" in Florida is that up in Ohio, where we're from, I drove a "BIKE" for over 25 years, but at 65 when we moved to Florida, with the advice of my son who has been on the local Sheriff's Department for over 25 years explained that the people around her drive like complete IDIOT'S! Well thinking at 65 maybe I should get something more SAFER I found this GEM and LOVED IT! I've been very happy with it and I will keep up on the maintenance going forward. It just turned 70K and runs beautiful!

Every year my wife and I talk about getting a convertible. Usually this happens in the Spring when the weather is starting to get nice. We live in the panhandle of Florida so there are plenty of nice days. This year I suffered a heart attack and ended up in the hospital for a week. Not that much fun. The one thing that week did was provide me with time to think about the things I wanted to do in my life. Once I got past the hard things I started thinking about the fun things. Buying a convertible was on that list. By the time I left the hospital I had done enough research to know that an SC430 was the car for us. I’ve always been a Toyota guy so the jump to a Lexus wasn’t even an issue. I looked at available cars in my area and had already picked one out. After driving it for a couple hours I knew I had to have this car. Man do I love this car. I love just looking at it in the garage. I’m not going to bore you with all the details about it. Just say this: I’ve read all the reviews about it not being a true sports car. And how some people don’t like the looks of the car. You know what? Then don’t buy one!! If you enjoy putting the top down and just taking a nice leisurely cruise somewhere, then this is the vehicle for you. I smile from ear to ear every time I get in. I find myself taking the long way home just to drive it a little bit more. I’ve told my wife that whatever happens to me that this car was to never leave the family. It was to be passed down for generations to come. I’ve never felt that way about any car before. If you don’t believe me, go take one for a spin. Hopefully you will be as impressed as I was.

It's not the fastest sports car, it's not the most plush luxury car, but the balance of sport, luxury, and fun is hard to beat. At a whim (or stop light) you can go from a very solid hardtop coupe to a convertible. You can let the automatic transmission smoothly take you from 0- 60 or you can manually advance the gears to provide that little rush of adrenaline. Within it's category it provides maximum flexibility with minimum commitment.

THE SC 430 IS A VERY SUBMISSIVE "SPORTS TOURING" AUTOMOBILE. I TRADED MY CORVETTE AND LEASED THIS CAR FOR MY SIGNIFICANT OTHER WHO IS NO LONGER WITH ME. (LESSON LEARNED) IF YOU WANT TO SPRUCE UP YOUR IMAGE GET THE SC 430. HOWEVER, IF YOU WANT TO "DRIVE" THE NEAREST THING TO A RACE CAR FOR AROUND $50,000, GET A 'VETTE. YOU WON'T REGRET IT. THE NEW CORVETTES (C5 OR LATER) HAVE PERFORMANCE ONLY RIVALED BY CARS OVER $150,000. THE 'VETTE IS THE BEST SPORTS CAR VALUE AVAILABLE.

I just got my SC430 about a month ago, and I look for excuses to leave the house and drive around. I get tons of looks, and it feels great to sit behind the wheel. Every thing about the car is pretty much perfect, and it is so smooth and quiet..thats why I would trade it for my wife in a minute!

Great Car! It needs help with some...any luggage space. No Bike racks, Roof Racks and not enough cup holders. Its great for picking up milk at 7-11 but don't even think of stopping at Sam's Club. Why fo I have to go to Best Buy to hook up XM?

It is the best car i have driven. Very comfortable. Back seats are too small for use but how often do we need them? The nicest interior of any car we saw.

since purchasing the car ive had rust problems. it first started on the door and then moved to the retractable roof. i had the rust removed from the roof 4 times to date.to top that off i was told on my last schedulled visit that my whole undercarriage is rusted out.for the last 9 months my lawyers are fighting lexus to buy the car back. i would not recommend buying any product from lexus.
