I bought my Lexus SC430 in 2002 and have enjoyed every minute I get to drive it. I consider myself a auto enthusist and have had many fine cars over my life time and rate the Lexus SC430 as one of the best and one of the neatest vehicles to travel in. Love it.

Love the car. Would consider buying another SC 430 in the future, if they ever come out with a 4-wheel drive version, as told to me by the dealer sales agent.

this is the best riding car i have owned. it is my third lexus first sc. it is the absolute worst car in any amount of snow. it gets no traction regardless of the snow control gadgits on the dash. the dealership, with tongue in cheek, stated that you shouldn't use it in any snow.

I've driven my car over a year now. There is not much I can say other than this is a sports car with Luxury features. It rides tight yet it is as smooth as a luxury sedan. The more features the better.

Very quiet and rides well. With the top down, you can hear the passenger talking at normal voice levels. Stereo system is very nice and GPS works very well. Seating and climate controls are very good. Accelerates well once it is moving, but has a distinct hesitation before shifting that can get you into trouble while merging into traffic.

I owned 3 Porsches and a Mercedes E55. The SC430 lacks true sports car feel but is the best built. A hardtop convertible was our preference. We could not rationalize or justify the $40,000 price difference of the SL500. The Mercedes CLK500.It felt cheap and plastic-filled - ditto the new Cadilac. As for the back seat and small trunk the SC430 has more than my Porsches, the SL500 or Cadilac. With the top up we have room for both sets of golf clubs and luggage - meaning we can travel with this car where we could not with the SL500 or Caddy.

This is the best vehicle I have ever own. The design of the vehicle is simply gorgeous. The engine performs wonderfuly, the interior is a work of art. And the speed which the car can reach is enough for me. (personal highest yet was 156, even though some magazines say it can't go that fast The car is simply the best out there. Beautiful, reliable, fun to drive, good value and simply Lexus. It's amazing the responses some people have when they see this car past them.

only draw backs are the run flat tires I hated that they came as standard with the car. I had to replace with michelins at the cost of 1,200.00. Not fair!I got the car 10/2001 and there is no explaining the endless compliments and stares to date!

This car has it all. A hard top that folds into the trunk. V8 power, 5 speed automatic, killer sound system, Lux ride, strong performance, 4 seats and I get 19.5 miles per gallon around town and 22 on the road. When compared to other cars in it's class it is a bargin price.

I love the ride , even with the run flat tires . It is a lot of fun to drive , the power , the smoothness on good roads , the looks . It will be a hard car to trade in when the time comes.

this is my 6th lexus. it's reliable, smooth, and a real head turner. fun to drive, fast, and safe. the top is convenient and looks as good down, as it does up.

Great engine, beautiful interior. Unlike the exotics, also dependable, and when you put that top down. Well, you have to drive it to believe it. Great navagation system, and the sound system can't be beat.

Smooth ride, easy to handle especially at higher speeds. Envy of everyone. Top mechanism allows retraction in 25 seconds..quick enough to retract at redlights. Very fine car..will buy another in 2 years.

I purchased this vehicle used and sold my 1999 Mercedes SL 500. This car is a pleasure to drive in every sense. I wish that they would take out the back seat and place a self like Mercedes. Otherwise outstanding.

This is the second Lexus SC that I have owned, and I have loved both. This one is especially sharp because of its convertible status. I feel safe in the car and have not had any problems with either cars other than the required maintenance...how many others can say this? I looked around when deciding to buy a new car(especially Mercedes-Benz) and couldn't find anything else with almost every luxury amenity that there is,for the price. I would do it all over again. It is definitely a HEAD- TURNER.

This is a fabulous, fun car. I don't care for the cupholders. Doesn't hold bottled water very good. My only critizism.

SC430 offers the luxury car owner an uplifting experience. Make sure you won't be driving in a snowstorm or on a road surface that has not been recently repaved. The run-flats are poor performers on any surface other then what is shown in the alluring Lexus brochure. Solve this and it could be one of my all time favorites and I have been fortunate to have owned a 911C4, SC400, Delorean (well that's another story) Have a spare SUV in the garage, then wait for the great spring or fall day, crank up your favorite tunes on a sound system that is as good with the top off at 75 mph as when it's up, and enjoy what very few others will ever know.

This car is definitely fun....Have a winter vehicle as when I asked what kind of snow tires the salesman just laughed. It's a real head turner as I find everyone staring.

It's like being in the cockpit of a fighter jet. All controls right in front of you. It has all the power needed and more. Top up or down, quiet with the feeling of a much bigger vehicle.

It was my divorce present to myself and it worked! I continue to feel totally pampered and safe every time I sit in, drive in, or think of that car. I was never into cars...never even wanted a Lexus. Never really knew what Lexuses were all about. And now, I will never own another car. The folks at Lexus courtesy-wash my car for free for me every week. They don't even let me tip them. The feed me while I wait...bagels, cappuccino. Complete LUXURY. I am officially spoiled ... and loving it. I recommend the SC 430 to every female recently out of relationship. Who needs a man, when you have a Lexus?

The SC430 combines the quiet refined class of the "usual" Lexus product, when the top is up, with a fabulous open air experience, complete with subtly rumbling exhaust pipes and a totally cool interior. The total package is a great value..especially when compared with the "other" hardtop convertibles on the market. Try one....you'll be convinced!!

I've owned seven cars in the same general price range and this is without a doubt the very best of them all. The car has so many hidden features that I read the owner's manual like it was a best selling novel. I absolutly love the car and want to thank the engineers who obviously gave up a few nights at home to get it right in every way possible.

Overall I am thrilled about this car. The stock handling can be improved significantly with new stiffer antisway bars from Daizen. They make cornering much flatter, tighter and more controlled. I have the runflat Dunlops which are jarring when hitting potholes. I will replace with conventional tires when they wear out. One other aftermarket item that makes the car sweeter is Luxlink. It is a remote convertible operating system that uses the unlock button on the key to open and close the top. No more holding the switch on the dash for 30 sec. They are sold at Luxury Motorworks for $230.
