Used 2020 Lexus LS 500 Consumer Reviews
Overall best car we have experienced
Purchased the 2020 LS in November 2019 , birthday gift for my wife. We have owned a few Lexus vehicles in the past . Overall she loves the car . I have giving her the option of the 2020 LC or the New 911 2020 , after test driving the three cars she preferred the LS. As a CPA she loves it. I own a 2019 NX an honestly enjoyed it very much a very versatile suv . Lexus historically has been a very dependable automobile company choice for us overall. For the investment and reliability it’s our best choice.

Reliably good car but terrible technology
This is my 4th LS. Besides the expected quality and reliability, this is a fun car to drive. Not as velvety as the prior 3, but smooth enough for the added driving experience. Seats and cabins are comfortable. Now to the horribly unreliable technology. The worst is the voice recognition. It's utterly worthless. The process to navigate through the various functions is dangerous because of the poor design, but it's flaky nature makes it even more dangerous. The climate control is awful. The foot under trunk sensor has worked twice and both times I didn't mean to make it work. Its never worked when I've tried. And the anti collision sensors are WAY to sensitive. I've pulled up to shrubs in a parking lot a little quick and the car unexpectedly slams on the breaks and sounds an alarm. Scares the crap out of you. If they could just dual in the technology the car would get a 5 from me

LS 500 perfection
This is my 5th LS sedan. They absolutely knocked it out of the park on this one. Nothing short of stunning to look at. Tons of compliments by week 2. The engine and acceleration beats my M5 from 2005. I cannot get the car to break loose on back country roads. It could not be more planted. I'm talking about taking turns at 80-90 mph. I was playing chase with an S63 AMG coupe yest. I wish I could post the video. It was keeping up with a car that has 700 lb.ft of torque. 2,400 W stereo sounds like a symphony. Massaging seats. Impeccable detail on the Inside. They have caught up and likely exceeded the big German sedans. You can save about $60k compared to MB, BMW, Masserati, etc. I am blown away. It is no longer my old man Lexus.

Another great LS
It is more expensive but this I my fourth LS and they just keep getting better. The depreciation is reasonable and a lot better than a Mercedes, BMW or AUDI. If I were fleeing a gang of criminals, there might be a better car but I do not do that. The reliability of every one of my LS's (2004, 2007, 2013 and now the 2018) has been superb and I value that a lot. I am not that intoxicated by the three pointed star but if I drive 450 miles this car could not be much better and yet every year they improve it. Keep it up Lexus! I have been in Engineering for 45 years and quality of build and reliability are musts. There area lot of great cars out there but you can depend on Lexus and its excellent dealer network. It would be hard for me to go to a different brand. The infotainment system is a bit complicated but if you take a little time you can use it well. The German brands do not perform much if any better and they sure depreciate fast.

All time classic
The LS500 is an insane car. The spindle/predator/monster/whatever-you want-to-call-it grille can turn away some shoppers, but call me crazy because I think that grille looks amazing. Even though there’s no giant engine that gives out-of-the world power, the V6 turbo is perfectly liveable. The transmission shifts very fast and the overall driving feel is very stable. The seat comfort is absolutely stellar, once you get used to adjusting them. There’s plenty of room for taller folks, and the luxury features you expect are all there. There’s the ginormous head-up display, panoramic moonroof, million way seats, standard safety systems, and the list goes on. Bottomlining is easy. Personally, I think this is one of the best values in the large luxury sedan segment. This makes it easily one of my favourite cars.
