Dumped my model 3 for the 2021 Lexus IS 350 with dynamic handling. For roughly the same price, the Lexus is hands down the better, nicer, sportier, and more luxurious ride. 5k miles so far an zero problems. Only complaint is that there’s no seat memory. Each time my wife drives my car, I find myself spending a few extra seconds trying to get my seat right. I’d buy again if I had the choice.

First I must say that I am a huge Lexus fan after having owned multiple Mercedes and BMW's. I have owned 2 GX460's and 2 ES350's and a first generation IS300. This time I wanted something sportier. I have probably owned 50+ cars in my lifetime and this is hands down my favorite ever. Its sporty, comfortable and a huge value for the price compared to the german brands. I have Atomic Silver over red and I get at least a couple compliments every day on what a beautiful car I have. Over all of my ownerships I have had ZERO problems with any of my Lexus's unlike my experience with both BMW and Mercedes which seemed to always have something wrong with them. On top of that when it comes time to trade them in they are still worth something. Not sure what the "experts" are saying about the acceleration on the IS. Mine is a rocket and that exhaust note is addicting. Plus I love the fact that I am driving something that is unique to the masses. If you get one, get the FSport with the Dynamic Handling Package. For 50k you have a fully loaded sports sedan that will give you constant joy!

Just traded in my 19' IS300 F sport for the 2021 IS350 F sport with the dynamics package, mark levinson/nav, tri beams. They improved the interior with a better guage cluster, infotainment system that is smooth and very clear and works great when I tested Apple car play and Android auto. The handling feels so much improved , smooth on rough surfaces, open it up in sport plus and the character changes and makes you smile. Feels very premium and the exterior styling is very aggressive yet tasteful. There is very little I can say negative about this car. As it stands the only thing I would want more of is more power but 311 HP AWD is plenty!

Just got the 2022 IS-350 F sport with Atomic Silver & Black interior. I do also have a 2021 Rav4 xse. Well coming from hybrid, this car seems much faster & super comfortable for me. Mostly i drive alone & it’s a great car indeed. This point I have around 1600 miles in less then a month!!! I just love taking her in long drive on the highway. This car is simply amazing. Lots of complaints, Mark Lev sounds is fabulous, at least it shakes everything inside the car!!! The F sports exhaust is super & this car loves to REV!! Yup, it isn’t super fast but it is fast enough for everyday driving. As all the brands are getting into semi or mild hybrid, i would say this car might be the last generation to keep a true v6. Trust me you will love the engine sound as you drive around. I have a no regrets getting this car. It puts smile on me, every time I start the car. And the seats are super comfortable, car looks amazing. Yup you will loose some space as it is compact sedan. But it does the job very well. In fact i am in love with my car, that sometimes I just keep looking at her 😂

I'll never buy another car brand again. Lexus has made an incredibly fun and reliable machine. Get the Dynamic Handling and you can have so much fun on a windy road. The acceleration isn't the best, but I'd rather have it a bit slower than worry about the reliability issues of twin turbos or a supercharger. Get it, you wont regret it

My arctic white 2022 Lexus IS35 0AWD – Miles, arrived 3 months ago with 6 miles on it and is garaged since then. It had not seen snow or rain. Upon arrival, coat of Ardex Nano sealant and Ardex Topaz was applied to the body and wheels. On the outside, all windows were treated with Chemical Guys InstaWax Carnauba shine spray. All tires got moisturizing treatment with Ardex New Concept and same was applied to all interior plastics and engine bay covers. I am car enthusiast and enjoying pampering my cars. I also believe that keeping cars in pristine shapes adds to the experience of ownership. I have to say that I truly love the simplicity of AWD and V6 that is matched with conservative 6 speed automatic. I purposely wanted the car that does not use super charging and obscene amount of gears in transmission. I learned that the same engine and transmission (with some slight modification) is used in Toyota Tacoma, Tundra, Venza, as well as others. That speaks volume about potential future reliability and success of design. From the get go – this is not a sport car and should not be treated as such! Many reviewers complains about lackluster acceleration and understeering on race tracks. To give you some background - I used to own Lexus UX250h, Acura TL, Audi Q3, BMW M340iX and Dodge Challenger V8 6.4L ScatPack, as well as Lexus NX (still have it as a family car). 90% of my driving is in the city – to and from work to the average of 20 miles a day. All my cars are being garaged. I am strictly following, stated in the manual, proper break-in for engine, transmission and brakes. Car does not see higher than 2000 RPM, aggressive cornering, or heavy brake usage. I start slow, working with transmission. I did not exceed 60MPH speed yet. As of today, I have 389 miles on IS and average fuel consumption at 24MPG. It is impressive, especially considering that Lexus predicts 19MPG in their tests in the city. Having car in the 60F garage, helps the initial engine warm up increasing MPG. I really enjoy how smooth the transmission operates and how well it is integrated with the motor unit. Driving in the city is simply enjoyable and relaxing. Driver seat is super comfortable and supportive. The AWD “hump” does not bother me at all and I use it to support my leg. I am 6’ and 220Ib and have no problem getting in and out of the car. I have enough headroom and legroom to enjoy extensive driving. Cabin is very well damped and isolated from the road noise. Nothing inside rattles or make strange noises (Acura). I like the fact that car has CD player – not many people realize that satellite radio is heavily compressed (MP3 – like) and does not really show the sounds system potential. Load your favorite album on CD and prepare to be surprised. I really wish I got Mark Levinson sound system upgrade but it was not available at the time of purchase. I am an audiophile. Ride is not very soft but not too stiff – honestly, I think it suits my taste perfectly. I am not very concern with room in the back because nobody drives there – this is my car to work. Yes, it is tight there but I would never recommend IS as a family car. For this we have 2021 NX300. I would say Lexus IS is a conservative, very reliable and proven design that speaks to small crowd of people. It is simply divine looking and I would not trade it for any European design. Nothing about IS will wow you initially like let’s say BMW M340i – but once you begin to use it, you will learn to love it. It’s a gentle giant with attitude - that’s why we named him Miles, after trumpeter Miles Davis. I have professionally tinted windows with 20% Xpel XR Plus film that rejects 98% heat and 99%UV. This provides privacy and protection from harmful UV light as well as it keeps interior cool (when used together with WeatherTech windshield sunshade). This is the car to buy and keep. 20 years from now, if well, maintained, it will still look great. Toyota service prices for Lexus. You don’t have to spend $300 for oil change (Audi, BMW) and deal with major reliability issues down the road (all Europeans). Oil Change for IS is $135 at Local Lexus dealer. All cars these days steer towards technology while Lexus takes more conservative approach. This car is for those customers who appreciate that fact.

This car is a beast, yet, comfortable as can be. The interior is impeccable, fantastic handling, the backseat is roomy for small sport sedan and the 350 F isn’t bad on gas at all. Every time we go out to drive it feels like an event.

Honest impressions at 5k miles

Coming up on 5k miles and all I can honestly say is that it’s easily the best car I’ve ever driven! The handling, the comfort, the ride, the tightness and responsiveness, the smoothness, the BUILD QUALITY, just an amazing car!! Lexus is seriously unmatched in build quality! This thing is an absolute tank! I got the F-Sport model which has 311 hp(51 more than the IS300), some very nice interior improvements like a sporty heated steering wheel with F badge and sporty door panels, a F-Sport exhaust which sounds AMAZING! It also has F-Sport seats that are heated/vented and VERY comfortable and ergonomic. And it has the gorgeous and simplistic digital driver display from the LC500! Love that! The car is truly an absolute pleasure to drive and very fun! Especially in sport mode which really tightens up the steering and makes the car crazy responsive! We just had our first snow fall of the winter here in Wisconsin and instead of sliding like I did with my prior Mazda6, I had total confidence and even a little fun lol… I really like that I can have fun when I want and feel totally confident with the AWD system. The car is very quick and INCREDIBLY nimble! Lexus built a track specifically to tune their sporty models and it shows! The handling is CRAZY good! Also, once you hear that exhaust note, you’ll be sold! I LOVE starting the car up and hearing that satisfying exhaust! Even from in my home with the remote start lol… I will say though… it’s NOT without its quirks… I do wish fuel economy was a bit better… I know the 3.5L is basically bulletproof which for a sports car a huge selling point. But it is thirsty for a V6…. My Mazda with a 2.5L averaged 32 mpg, the IS350 averages me 20 mpg with fairly responsible driving. If I drove like an a-hole I’d probably average 16-17 mpg which is getting into V8 territory…. So there’s that…. A trade-off I’m still getting used to(while having a bit of fun lol)…. I’m also not a fan of the remote start on this car… the transmitter on the key fob is VERY finicky and really lacks range and can’t be obstructed by really anything… I’m lucky if it works within 30 ft and I have to press the lock twice then hold it on the third press and it rarely works right… I’m basically forced to use my phone with the Lexus Enform app to remote start it every time! There’s also Apple Watch functionality with a Siri shortcut but that also barely works… very annoying! The Lexus Enform app is free through the lease term but after that it costs and without it I basically don’t have remote start because the fob is such crap! But, overall, this is easily the best(and most expensive off the lot) car I’ve ever had. The build quality is second to none. The handling seriously amazes me every time I get on it. The exhaust note puts a smile on my face every time, as does the acceleration when the car just PULLS from 2nd to 4th until I hit about 90 and let off while I’m getting on the freeway. The heated/vented seated are super nice as is the heated steering now that we’re getting into sub freezing temps in the Midwest. The AWD inspires a ton of confidence and is such a joy. And it’s also nice knowing that I can actually have fun and not have to worry about blowing turbos and the 3.5L can take the occasional fun abuse because it’s a luxury Toyota and they’re freaking bulletproof! It also happens to seriously be one of the most GORGEOUS cars I’ve ever seen! Even if the roof sits a bit low especially for rear passengers. Thankfully, I don’t often have adults in my back seat lol… Honestly, if you’re in the market for a car and looking into AWD and it’s within budget, and you don’t mind the mpg hit of a sports car, absolutely test drive this or even an IS300. They’re AMAZING driving machines and I’d put it against anything in the price range!
