Used 2002 Lexus IS 300 Consumer Reviews
bread and butter of sport sedans
Got rid of my VW Jetta GLX and got this. No more ridiculously expensive parts -- this is Japanese reliability and price with German performance. Who can beat that???
Best car
It's no M3, but that's only because it doesn't have the horsepower. My father likes it better than his 3-series. In its defense, however, I don't drive it on a racetrack, so when do I ever need 300+ HP?

Chose it over a 3 series
Nice smooth engine and crisp 5sp. transmission. Great brakes. Very solid feel and very well built. Smooth power with better low end than 330. Sporty interior. LSD a must. Great value compared to BMW and Audi.
This car RULES
I've owned my 5-speed for almost a year (minus a month and a half for some repairs ;)), and I can easily say it's the most fun-to-drive car I've ever driven. The car handles superbly; I love the way it hugs the road in a turn, the squeel of the tires as I round a bank, the roar as I downshift to pass someone who shouldn't have been in the fast lane. The VVT-i engine is really noticeable in a launch (push that TRAC button to see what I mean).
Love my IS
