I would not buy this car New. I bought a used 2015 for half of what the new Souls’s sell for.

Grandma's Car

This is a great little car with plenty of room for people and cargo. My only wish is that it was an all wheel drive as I live in northwestern ME with the snow and ice.

Lots of Bang for a box

You will get some smiles from people.. It's not for everyone but that's what I like... Not your ordinary... Park next to a mini Cooper and it's a lot bigger!...

Maintenance Free

I am celebrating 50,000 miles of maintenance free driving by purchasing my first set of tires, the ONLY cost besides oil changes. Lots of room for front and back seat adults. Easy for older adults to get in and out. I get 31 mpg in mixed driving and up to 34 on highway. Update: 65000 miles. Nothing has ever gone wrong with this car. Still maintenance free except oil changes. Now at 96000 miles, an axle seal had a leak. This is the only thing that ever went wrong. Warranty covered this at no cost while I ate at a nearby restaurant. No down time ever with this car!

Four Years of Post-van fun.

My wife wanted something fun after fifteen years of being Mom in a van, so choosing the Soul—- a loaded one—felt like a fun choice. Indeed we have both enjoyed it, especially for the interior comforts—cooled seats in summer and heated in the winter. Even sitting in the back seat is enjoyable on long trips. Comfortable arm rest, plenty of head , shoulder and leg room. Accessibility for that back seat is the best I have experienced for a sedan. Of course, Kia / Hyundai ‘ s navigation and Bluetooth system has lived up to the high expectations that other Kia / Hyundai owners gave us. That system by itself argues for staying with the brand. Because we line in Cleveland, we bought snow tires for our Soul, and that car drives excellently in the snow. “Motormouth,” a Canadian YouTube reviewer provided this tip. By the way, I purchased a used 2012 Kia Soul for use by my college-aged children. I love that rugged practical car too, a base model.

Comfy and Cute!

For my first vehicle, I have decided to finance a 2015 Kia Soul Auto Base. I LOVE this car! As soon as I drove it I was sold. Smooth ride, great sound system (love a car that can handle the bass without the speakers struggling!), awesome heat/AC, back windshield wiper blades and defroster are convienient to have, and I am just overall completely satisfied. I wanted something simple but safe and wouldn't break the bank for my first vehicle. I know I'm going to continue to love every second driving in this car, and I can't wait to get into it in the morning and after work! So pleased. Love my Kia!!

Great value and fun to drive

The cost of this vehicle is reasonable, and it seems to hold much of its value, even into 2020. Even in ECO mode, using fewer cylinders, the car has plenty of power and zip. Just the right size for my switch out of a minivan. Trim and appointments are nice. Definitely worth the price!

So Rad I bought another one!

These little buckets of awesomeness are truly the most versatile vehicles I have ever owned. In fact, when I traded in 2012 model, I got another new and improved one. Fun to drive, more room inside than one would think; I drove my first one cross country with a 4x8 Uhaul trailer attached to it. Fantastic little beasts!

Alot better than I expected

After having major car issues and needing to get into something else quickly, I found a well-priced 2015 SOUL SX. I was super hesitant to buy it as I knew all about the KIA/HYUNDAI dreaded engine issues. I got mine with 140,000km on it and a fairly extensive service history. Well, it's been nearly a year with this vehicle now and it has been very good. I really enjoy the size of the cabin with its tall ceiling and the squared-out trunk gives about 10SQFT of space over others in the same category. Pros: The 2.0L engine feels spirited enough when its just my wife and I in the vehicle. The 6-speed auto cycles gears smoothly. The vehicle corners and brakes well. Steering in SPORT makes it feel a little more dialed in. The seats are wide and comfortable even after-hours long drives. Trunk space outclasses some/ most CUV or SUV. CONS: I really wish they had placed a 6-speed manual in the SX but it's what it is. The ride can be overly stiff at times, mind you I have the 18inch rims. The features leave a little to be desired in this year. a 2.5L option would have been nice in this vehicle to push it over the 200HP mark. This vehicle gets a bad wrap for being for a more mature group of people (at least in my area) I would still give this vehicle a solid 4/5.

I wish the seats were adjustable up and down so I could see better. It’s too small upfront now that I drive and my husband is the passenger. The armrest is way too short. However it’s a pretty comfortable ride for a simple car.

Great value for price

Within a few days of buying my brand new 2015 Soul, I was driving down the road and it stalled as I was driving. It started back up again after I turned it off and tried to start it again but it was dangerous and scary. I was lucky not to be on a highway when this happened. I took it into Kia. Of course they could find nothing wrong. Then in 2021 I noticed my car was using too much oil so I took it in again Kia could find nothing wrong. At this point I was on my useless 2500 extra warranty I paid for. In 2021 it also stalled again in the winter after one of Texas’s rare ice storms and again luckily I was not on a highway and it started up again. Now to today. I kept making sure it has oil all fluids are ok. My engine starts acting up and losing power this time on a highway with no warning. Barely made it to an exit. Car died in a parking lot. Had it towed. My neighbor hooked a machine up to it to find out what issues it has. Said it was having engine misfires. Ok changed spark plugs and could packs. Car still not working. Engine knocking, shaking and check engine light blinking. Had a mechanic with forty years experience look at it his comment to me “ this car has a lot of issues”. My key fob stopped locking the doors the car was off the headlights were turned off but lights are still on and blinking finally had to disconnect battery to make them go off. This car is 7 years old. This car should not have had these issues and especially issues that could have resulted in an accident or death if it had happened at another place or time on the road. I will not buy another one. A cute lawn ornament was not what I wanted when I paid so much for a brand new car. Nor would I trust a Kia mechanic to find what is wrong we’re I to take any car to them to look at and repair. From what I read now this year was not good for Kia but I cannot see taking a chance on another one. So now I am car shopping again hoping this would last like they claim they should or even like my other makes have but not this one. Not a good investment.

PROMISES BROKEN

I am the owner of a 2015 Kia Soul that I purchased several years back with 33,000 miles. During the ownership of this car I have received no recalls nor made aware of any until taking my car to my mechanic. My mechanic had to drive it as it showed no warning lights on dash nor showed on diagnostics. He shows me recalls on my car and stated i was driving a death trap so I call Kia and they will tow it to a different state but WILL NOT provide me with a loaner. I find that funny due to reading that KIA has a fleet of vehicles to provide loaners when owners cars are being fixed due to recalls. I assume that applies to others than myself. Anyway Im stuck with no vehicle unless i drive a 2015 Kia Death Trap. I drive a Kia,do you think i can afford a rental. One dealership in Illinois told me they have KIA RECALLS backed up for 2-3 MONTHS. Maybe Kia can explain how an old man, on a fixed income, that bragged on their cars to others, can afford to rent a car for 2-3 months
