Ive had 9 brand new cars in my life...my Soul beats them all! Hands down!
Reliability would be a 6 or higher if the Edmunds ratings went that high! Build quality also. I've owned brand new Hondas, Toyotas, Fords, a FIAT, Prius, Chevrolets, a 308 GTS Frerrari, a Mercedes....etc. All my family started trading in their cars for brand new KIA's in 2011. Including mine (2013 Soul), my wifes (2013 Sorento), my Daughters 2013 Sportage, my son and daughter-in-laws 2 Fortes, and the list goes on. No lemons, no issues, perfect build quality, great mileage, awsum paint jobs, a crazy amount of standard equipment that is unexpected in cars at this price...and a 100,000 mile drive train warranty is icing on the KIA cake!
Great car if you're a hamster
I went from a 2000 Mercury Cougar to this spacious Kia Soul. At the time, space is what I needed while maintaining a cute car image, and that is exactly what I got! I got the Base model and included with that was 5 seats, plenty of storage room, and a great bass for my music on the dash. It's very roomy especially for a tall family (us), but it's not the most comfortable. The seats are flat and have no support for you, so long drives are terrible. I've had this car for a solid 3-4 years now, but it's definitely time to move on. It isn't the safest vehicle on the block and is definitely one of the loudest. There is huge tipping risks, so make sure to never go too fast on turns. There is also issues with the wheels. When I hit 65 mph exactly, my engine sounds like it is going to explode. It's a really noisy car too, the only way I can explain this is when you accelerate, you sound like you're driving a bus. On top of that, the roads are not your friend. If you were driving freshly paved road, you would be fine, but realistically.. that's not how it works. One bump will send this car flying and you with it. On top of that, the snow is a tragedy. I replaced the tires and the car still gets stuck. No hills for this one. I will be looking for a safer car with less noise for my family and I. Be sure to test this on highways and realistic roads, I am positive you will fall out of love. BUT, if you don't care for any of this and just focus on space and room, this car is for you.

Bless My SOUL!
I LOVE driving my peppy little SOUL+...around town. But heaven forbid I have to get out on the open road/highway; then I feel like I'm riding in a very lightweight, inexpensive vehicle (which it is). BUT...I like the styling, it's fun to drive with great acceleration and the price was right. Nevertheless, I'm upgrading after 3 years.

I love my car
I recently bought my car at Commonwealth Kia in Lawrence MA. I love this car! The dealership was great and I was able to get an awesome deal! I would recommend this car and dealership to all my friends and family!
Boxy but Good.
Comfortable, roomy and easy to get in and out of. Great reliability and warranty if you ever need it. Fun to drive and easy to park. Cost to buy and drive is very low even considering the just OK gas mileage. Most important is it gets a 5 star crash rating as well! Updated December 2019. I have had the Soul for 6 years and I have not had one problem with the Kia Soul! I have been really impressed by the quality and reliability of the car. Still a great around town car, easy to drive, easy to park, always starts!
